So I am on the fence about this. The man may be controlling or perhaps just obsessed with this technology.
People do become obsessed with Technology. For example, people at my company are constantly warned about walking down the hallways staring down and scrolling on their phones, but they do it anyway because they are simply obsessed.

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
At first I felt the same as you. But LW mentions nothing about past issues with controlling or such. So I thought about it and came up with Technology obsession thing.
My ex was always obsessed with technology, but he has all the characteristics of being controlling and abusive so using technology to help him did not surprise me. If we were still together and he did this with cameras, I would be disabling them and going to the lawyer for sure.

Technology, my ass!
This guy is a control freak.
I would run hard, run fast.

LOl I trust your opinion on this than my own. Very creepy to be on camera all day for sure.

I think he's more obsessed with the technology. It's a new toy and it's in the male DNA to become obsessed with their toys. If I were her, I'd do what Lily suggested and give him a show. However, if he continued to be obsessed with it after a month or so, I'd cover up those cameras while he's at work or away and not give it another thought.
Dirty John installed cameras and spied on his wife. Saw her open a piece of his mail and got home so fast your head would spin. She turned the tables and spied on him and found out he wasn't really working, but returning home and sleeping all day.
We've been wanting to upgrade our security system, but I don't think I want cameras inside the home. Outside, yes, but having them inside feels creepy to me. Heck, the happiest day was when I threw out the baby monitors and they were just picked up sounds. It's too easy to start to obsess over every little thing.

I wouldn't want them in the house with one exception; then I am having work done and I can't monitor all the workers. A friend of mine caught a contractor's employee on camera stealing from them.

She is a stay at home mom with 3 young children. While the letter raises my hackles, I think putting on her big girl panties and unplugging the damn cameras should be the first course of business, especially if he has never shown control freak behavior before.
