My nephew, Greg, ran in the Columbus Marathon in 2016.
His time was good enough, to qualify to run in the Boston Marathon, this year!
We are so excited for him!
(On a side note, our niece, Greg's sister, Kim, ran a marathon in Raleigh,NC. Her time should be good enough, to qualify to run the Boston Marathon next year. She'll find out for sure, in September.)
We are so happy for Greg!
This was a bucket list item, for him.
Wishing Greg well! Hoping for a good run!
How fun!
P.S. Trudy, I know the marathon is only 3 weeks away. If I go crazy, and come north to watch...would you be up for a Geek Meet? Let me know!

The Boston Marathon is Patriot's day. Such a fun day in Boston. Of course you cannot drive around have to walk or take the T. That is a badge of honor to qualify to officially run in the marathon.

I had friends who qualified and ran the Boston! What a great feat and honor for Greg! I'm excited for him as well. FWM, I hope you get to go. It's so much fun to be there while it's going on.
Prayers Greg does really well. Do you happen to know what his time was to qualify?

He ran the Columbus Marathon in 2 hours 58 minutes 22 seconds.
A male in 18 to34 age group had to run under 3 hours 5 minutes to qualify for Boston.
A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
FWM does he have any friends or family coming to cheer him on? Just thinking I could take the day off and take the train in to Boston. He needs someone he "knows" to cheer him on.

I need to check, IKWTDS.
I'm not sure.
Depending on the weather, I would love to drive up, and we could cheer Greg on.

That sure would be fun!
My office is right next to the train running into Boston, about a 15 min ride. Take the T from there to Boylsten and wait for him. Or do the crazy car driving thing to Heartbreak Hill and then to the train back into Boston. The streets are mostly shut down so a route has to be carefully planned out. My bro has run the marathon several times and I can get his input.
