Working from home. It is beautiful and as expected my cherry blossoms are about to explode. My eyes are itchy and watery.

The clouds passed! The sun is streaming down!

And I think we had another earthquake about 20 minutes ago.

Leaving early to take DD14 to a doctor's appointment. She failed the school scoliosis check.

I have scoliosis, so she probably inherited it. But she is still growing, so they might be able to fix it.

I'm back!

All of a sudden, my internet was
down, for no apparent reason.
Ex-tenant has been seen driving
up & down our road (dead-end,
cul-de-sac) by several neighbors.
Hope he didn't come onto the
property and do some damage.
He really does have anger issues.

Anyway, the internet provider
came out, and re-attached what-
ever it was that got disconnected,
and I'm up and running.

It is scary.  Calls for security cameras to be installed.

Momala! You really do need to get some surveillance cameras for around the property! PLEASE! You really don't know what this idiot is capable of or how this could escalate!

I heard that you can get water sprinklers that will turn on by motion sensors. I don't know if there is such a thing though. Would it be possible for you to get a big dog?

Yes their is motion sensor  sprinklers, Lowe's sells them. If he tries  again, at least he will get wet

Rental car turned in. Gotta say - the 2018 Kia Soul is a great vehicle and was great on gas mileage. Only used 3/8 of a tank going from OC to LA/Hollywood and back. Lots of heavy traffic and over an hour in uphill bumper to bumper traffic. I was shocked at how good the gas mileage was.

DH thoroughly enjoyed himself. He didn't get to meet any celebs but he did find a site that gave addresses for their homes so we picked a street and drove the length of it. One of the houses was for sale - 5.6 million. DH was bouncing with excitement seeing Hollywood Blvd and Grauman's in person. He squealed when he saw the Hollywood sign. I took him to the Mulholland Drive lookout - super tiny parking lot (maybe 6 spaces) but great view of Hollywood from above. They have a couple telescopes for those who wish to use them to get a closer look at the Hollywood sign and other sights. He got to visit the graves of some of his favorite celebs. The other cemeteries he wants to visit will have to wait for another time.

We did. I had lots of fun catching up with my bestie. DH and J hit it off too. They have very similar political views and spent a good amount of time discussing everything Trump.

I don't know how people live in that area of SoCal. The drivers are still crazy but the freeways are more chaotic than they were 7 years ago when I last visited. People were making a 2 lane road out of a one lane road. To think I learned to drive in that mess ... yikes! But, I put on my SoCal driving skills and got through the fray. DH was amused at the change in my driving. Can't drive like I do in AZ. I'll get run over! Drivers are crazy here too but it's a different crazy.

I understand about the difference in driving. I had a hard time slowing down when I first moved here. My son was quite at ease with the traffic though. I don’t know if I could drive there anymore.

I bought a couple of these. They work really well and are very bright. It won't keep intruders out, but it will shine a spotlight on them and alert people that someone is present.

DH kept saying he doesn't know how I can drive in that mess. I did it for 6 years. I learned to drive in it. The drivers there still don't know what a turn signal is. Neither do Phoenix drivers,f for that matter.

Phoenix traffic flows differently though. Less chaotic. But, people here will cut you off for the sheer sake of cutting you off. I don't signal until I'm getting over unless traffic is super heavy and I want to let the drivers behind me know I'm looking for an opening vs driving slow. Doesn't stop some from darting into an opening and cutting me off. Turds.

Right? I told DH that if he thinks SoCal traffic is chaotic, he should see San Antonio.

But, I'm sure those used to it navigate it expertly.

Check out the drivers in Jamaica. Crazy, and they drive on the left side of the road over there.
