I've been having really bad vertigo for over a month. I was kind of hoping it was allergy related but it hasn't eased up. I finally decided to go to the doc. I'm a bit nervous. I don't really know any of the ENT docs. They do all their cases down the road at the outpatient center. I know sometimes they do some maneuvers to realign the crystals in the ear. My sister told me her friend went to the ENT and he told her to trust him and grabbed her head and shook it really fast. It actually helped. WTH?
If it's because one of the little bones is dislocated, that may need more help.

When it first started in April I was hoping it was dehydration. It isn't. Everything makes me dizzy. Looking up, looking down, getting up quickly, rolling over in bed, even turning my head to fast. So dizzy I'm nauseous. It's been really hard going to the gym. I've had to modify a lot in group classes.
First time I experienced it was when I was going for my scuba certification, I crawled out of the water, found out later that scuba takes the water out of you. Second time was when I was in labor with DD (didn't know I was in labor) and drove home on the highway, was in the fast lane when it kicked in and new I couldn't change lanes safely so just focused on the one lane I was in. Both scenarios were dehydration issues.
I feel for anyone who has long term vertigo issues. scary stuff.

I tried one of those maneuvers on my own. It made me so dizzy I threw up.
Oh. Sorry.

I have had it but Lily's suggestion fixed it for me. Definitely did not feel good when I first did it, but got better in a few days. Hope you can get some relief from this....
It could actually be vestibular neuritis. If that's the case, it will have to clear on it's own, but you may suffer from vertigo from now on whenever your sinuses back up.
I had it a couple of years ago and was in the bed for 4 days. I could not walk or lay down without the room spinning uncontrollably. I had to sit up perfectly still.
