It's official. We are in a heat wave. So hydrate and get out there and kick ass!
I am going to buy a fridge this morning. Mine is about to die and want to get a new one before the current one goes to it's resting place. I will never again buy a Kenmore or LG. I am looking at GE. Good price on fridges this week at Lowes.

Heat wave here too but our AC is out - AGAIN for the third day in a row we are having HVAC people out.
Don't rule out scratch and dent for the fridge. We just replaced ours too. Home Depot and Lowes had some good sales and would have been around $7-800 for what we wanted. S&D had the same thing for $500.

Fridge bought! delivery next Sunday! Current fridge should last til then but not buying large quantities of food until after delivery. works since I am headed to the cottage for a few days at the end of the week. I am thinking I will bring all my meats in the freezer there and family can have a cook out.

Yay for the new fridge! Glad you got one. I regularly check the scratch and dent area when I need an appliance. Have gotten some really good buys there.
97* with a real feel of 108*. Yeah, I'm not going out anywhere. I went out on the balcony to water the flowers. Took less than ten minutes and the sweat was pouring off me. hahaha So, I'm in doing little things around the apartment; accomplishing a lot.

right to them, and didn't blink an eye
when told the price. And some of them

Hotter than all get out here, too. Have a strong breeze BUT it is from the south and is also carrying a lot of dust.... Lots of fun. Luckily the air conditioner is hanging in there. What did people ever do before they came along???? Somehow a tall glass of lemonade under a shade tree just does not cut it....

I know! I think when one is a kid it is bearable but even mom would give us a sip of OJ spiked with rum on a too hot night to help us sleep back in the day.

When we got home from a lonnnng day
at the farm stand, DH said he and I were
both too tired to cook, so let's go out to
the Chinese buffet. Yippee! He takes
such good care of me.
