I don't like a holiday being in the middle of the week. I was on call yesterday and my brand new cell phone died. Bad software somehow. Have to wait until Monday for the new one to arrive. I'm on call Sunday too so I'll either have to get a disposable phone or use DD's. Not a happy camper right now. On a good note I can text and get on the internet with it. Just no ringy dingy.
Hot here, too. Spend the day in the pool yesterday. SIL leaves this morning, and will drop boys off at my parents' house on her way home. We had a nice visit. Last night neighbor came over with his arsenal of 'works and together with our PA bought 'works, we lit up the sky. It was an awesome show!
Good morning! We had a great T-storm last night. It definitely cooled things down for sleeping. The sun is out now and things are heating up but not nearly as bad as the last few days.
Enjoying my cuppa and tennis! Gooooooooooooooo Rafa!!!
A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
Good afternoon ! It is so stinkin hot here plus high humidity. Took the boys outside for a couple of hours this morning with water pistols and let them play in the shade.
Whoo Hooo! Won my case at the JP, to
get our scumbag tenant evicted, PLUS
court costs and rent owed. She has until
Monday to get out. From the looks of the
house, they have most of their belongings
packed up and in one room. If they are not
out by end of day Monday, I can call on the
Sheriff, and he will have several of his more
burley men eposit anything left in the house
at the curb, where it is fair game for any
takers. I know several families who would
be happy to have some furniture.
She tried to make a case for herself by
telling the Judge that there was a roach
infestation, as well as scorpions nd snakes.
Well, if she would clean up the house after
her three dogs, there wouldn't be any roach
problem. There weren't any when she moved
in.
As far as scorpions and snakes are concerned
- hey, this is south Texas, and they are part of
the natural habitat.
She also brought in the previous (non paying)
tenant who the JP had evicted last Fall, and
tried to get the JP to listen to him rant about
how we were scammers, but the JP immediately
brought it back to the issue at hand - her non-
payment of rent.
So here we are, in the middle of a Texas heat
wave, and they are in the house with no a/c
(because she had the power shut off when she
couldn't pay the bill), no light, no refrigeration.
I don't feel the least bit sorry for them. They
brought it on themselves.
And its raining cats and dogs today!
All the windows are open.
She's parked her car in the middle
of the driveway, so I'd have to go
onto the grass to get around her.
I guess she thinks I don't know
how to use reverse.

Should have parked behind her blocking her in.
