Ugh. Dealing with an A-type personality neighbor. Every year we do a "bus stop cheers/tears" on the first day of school. A couple people bring tables and everyone else brings whatever. There is usually a nice spread of fruit, muffins, juice, etc. Usually one neighbor sends out an email about it and asks who is bringing napkins, food, trashbags, plates, etc. Just a general, "I'll bring plates" or "I'll bring something to eat" or "I'll bring something to drink", etc. Well, the woman who usually organizes this isn't doing it anymore (her kids aged out) so someone newish to the neighborhood took over. I responded that I would bring some treats. So she writes back and asks what I'm bringing. Exactly. So. she. can. make. her. list. Okay, maybe I'll make muffins. She writes back, "okay, I'll put you down for muffins or other bread-like food." Yeah, okay. It's a 15 minute get together to take a group picture of the kids before the bus arrives. Sheesh.
But, if she is doing the organizing, I wouldn't care how she did it.
Waiting with mom for her diabetic training class thing.
Then I'm going home to do nothing.
I'm so tired after this past weekend.
Happy Monday!

Second time in a year. I won't be buying the brand anymore and will complain.

Well, this was an eventful and busy weekend. Got bit by a spider while I was sleeping Saturday night. Kept track of the redness and swelling Sunday. Figured it was a non-venomous spider since I wasn't experiencing any shortness of breath and the pain was fairly localized so didn't go to urgent care. Figured it could wait till my doctor appointment today. Doctor prescribed a topical ointment to take care of the itching and pain. He said it's not infected, which is good, and said to keep an eye on it. Can do.
I have happy news too. Doctor started me on Topamax 6 weeks ago as a preventative for my humidity migraines. It has a side effect of being an appetite suppressant. I've lost 14 pounds! I love that I've been migraine-free and that I'm also losing weight. I'm really, really blessed to have this doctor. Hubby found him and I liked him so I joined his practice. It's been a long time since I've had a doctor who actually cared about finding solutions that work. This one is a keeper!
