enjoy your day off if you have one!  I've done the re screening already and I need to do a BJs run.  I am out of Floanase and the ragweed is awful, my ear is slightly blocked.  May look at grills while I am out.  Nervous about using the one I have after noticing the issues last night.

We are walking around downtown. Walked far enough to get a popsicle at a new shop. Cooling off before we trek back to the car.

I am organizing and pricing, and doing some purging, for this weekend.

About to meet Caitlyn, she is leaving her car for service tomorrow.

I'm debating on getting chicken at the deli, or have sandwiches for dinner.

We were going to cook out, but, we got rained out.

I hate to complain. We need the rain.

So, we made steak and cheese sandwiches instead.

It's always good to have a Plan B, just in case!wink

Watching The Tennis.

Might play with my new Garmin, in the new car, before I leave for my trip to Ohio on Thursday.smile

(Oh, the new car. A 2018 Ford Escape. We made an impulse buy last Friday night. So far, so good. We like The Beast!)biggrin

Love steak sandwiches! And the Escape is a great choice. You will have a great road trip!

Steak sandwiches sound yummy.

I'm out of bread so I ordered a philly cheesesteak from Domino's.

I'll regret it.

I love the Escapes.

Is it the hybrid?

Took DS for a haircut. He changed it up this time. He's quite the opinionated fellow. Asked for a pic and got a rather stern face. Such a tough life, kid!

Thanks, Good Geeks!

The steak sandwiches were really good!

Just gas powered, on the Escape.

Have you seen the news reports of the hybrids catching fire, on the road? I think it's a Kia.

At any rate, we'll just stick with old school gas, for now.wink

Congrats on the new wheels! I want a new one. I wanted a convertible, but I can't really see anything that I like. I don't think they are popular anymore. I also wanted a hard top convertible but they don't seem to make those anymore. There was a Bentley cabriolet in the mall last night, but I can't convince DH that it was worth the $276K they were asking. LOL

Today is DH's birthday. We had a pool party. The pump went out in the pool yesterday but with the help of the internet, I figured out the part that went out and thanks to Amazon, we got the part today and got the pump running again. Whew.

I was against the hybrids at first.

But, after driving a couple of them, one for a week on vacation, on the interstate, I'm sold.

What did you like about them, lily? I'm thinking of getting a new car but don't really know what I want.

I can give the 2018 Kia Soul a positive review. We rented one for our SoCal trip back in late April. Excellent gas mileage and roomy in spite of its compact size. Would've liked a bit more cargo room (couldn't fit my walker in the cargo space) but was overall really happy with the vehicle. DH and I are considering whatever the next size up would be as a second vehicle.

I've driven a Fusion, and 2 different C-max. All Fords.

I liked the gas mileage. The Fusion has a larger tank, but I don't believe they make those anymore.

The C-max I drove to Myrtle Beach and back. It got over 40 miles to a gallon on the interstate.

Not much less around town for the week.

It has a nice ride, and power.

I had no trouble passing, or entering traffic.

To me, that's important.

And it's a smaller car, which are fun to drive, but my boys, both over 6 feet tall, have no trouble getting in or out, they also have comfortable leg room.

I think it's because the seats are up off the floor. It's a more comfortable sitting position.

They both ride in the back seat for long periods of time, no complaints.

The doors open wide, too.

That's nice.

It gives more space getting in and out.

The only thing I would change about mom's is I'd tint the windows.

It does have dual climate zones, along with all the bells and whistles.

Mom drives it a lot for business trips.

She make 3-4, 5-6 hour, one way, trips a month. She's gone for 2-4 days at a time.

It hasn't needed more than routine maintenance in the 4 years she has had it.

My 2017 Ford Focus gets 37-40 mpg. The trunk
is large enough to fit my walker, and all of my
chili paraphernalia. 29K + miles in just over a
year. The only thing I added was a "back-up"
beeper. Love my Ford!

I have looked at the Audi convertibles, but inventory seems limited and most are used. DH drives an Audi so I'm not sure if I want to be a two Audi household, if that makes sense. Although his is the big SUV.....
