Good morning, my pretties!

On the bright side, I get my hair done at 11.smile

On the bummer side, I'm waiting for the transmission place to call me to let me know what's wrong with Belle.

(Conor called us from 7-Eleven Friday afternoon. He couldn't get Belle to go into gear. He thinks the clutch finally gave out. I, on the other hand, think the clutch is probably fine. I think the shift cable broke. Time will tell. I hope the repair bill isn't terrible. Wayne is pressuring me to get rid of her, and I'm just not ready to give her up.)crycrycry

Hold a good thought, that it's not something awful.

Thanks!

I know, right?

We just spent a little over $900 in August, to fix the over heating problem.

Why she couldn't wait a couple of months to develop a new problem, is beyond me.

I'm feeling snake bit, right about now.furious

Sounds like it might be a good time to trade her in....when it starts to cost big bucks, it's time.

Our pet fish died. Now the boys want a hamster again. Ugh.

Today is my parents' 58th wedding anniversary. We took them out last night.

FNW, I checked Kelly Blue Book. We'd only get about $1000 if we trade her. If we found a private buyer, we could probably get about $4200. I'm just not ready to let her go. So, I'm hoping this repair bill will be reasonable.

I'm sorry to hear about your pet fish. Do you think you can talk the boys into more fish? I know what a pain small, caged beasts can be.

Happy anniversary to your Parents! Fifty eight years is wonderful! smile

Isn't Belle a Jeep?  That's about a whole lot more than money.  It's love.

OH, you didn't say it was a Jeep. That's a different story.

I will try to talk them into another fish. As much as I enjoyed the little house rats, they are a lot more work.

Yes, Belle is my 2004 Jeep Liberty, that we bought in October of 2003. She's only got 130,000 miles on her. She's on her third set of tires and her fourth battery...but other than the cooling system, she's original. I've never had to buy new brakes yet.

I love her! Silly, but true!wink

I had a Jeep that I named Jepe. He got his name because at the time, I was warned about some scam where Jeeps were coming out of Mexico....I think maybe stolen or something then sold? Anyway, I was told not to be surprised if I was stopped so the officer could check the VIN. (This was all in Cali back in the mid 1990's). So I called my Jeep, "Jepe."

Jepe belonged to my father before me. He had it for less than a year then I had it for many years. After 9 years in the family, my father drove it back to California (from DC). It ran great. No problems. Never gave me any problems. After the deal was made (to trade him in at the dealership), dad pulled it onto the lot. As soon as he put it in park, the rear view mirror fell off the windshield, and the passenger window dropped down (on its own). I don't think he wanted to leave the family.

LOL! Great story, FNW! Jeeps are easy to love! And, they last a long time! I hope I'll get to keep mine.wink

Good news! Belle needs a new pressure plate, clutch, and he's going to resurface the flywheel.

$1250 is the bad news. But, he said she'll run for another 130,000 miles once she's fixed.

I called Wayne, and he told me to go ahead with the repairs.

Thank you Lord!smilesmilesmilesmile Happy dance with me, my Geeks!wink

You guys must be lucky, I work with many guys who are jeep owners and they experience problem after problem, they are always talking about how their jeeps are broken down. I would love to have a nice, tricked out lifted jeep wrangler 4 door. Mmm those are so sexy

I actually almost bought one a few years back but they wouldn't negotiate on the price AT ALL. So I walked away

I bought a 2001 2 door Jeep Wrangler TJ this summer. Only 90K miles, manual transmission, beautiful red paint in pristine condition. Came with a hard top and a bikini top.

Love my Ruby.

Whoa, Beetlegal is pregnant?

I've always wanted a jeep but every time I need a car I get sucked back into luxury. My bro bought the SUV type and I am sure it cost more than my BMW.

Ruby is a nice name for a car.

Friend across the street called me and told me about a sick acting fox that was in my driveway for a long time today. When I take Sonny out in the dark of the morning he sometimes breaks his routine and heads up the street rather than down. I am sure he senses something. I need to go get pepper spray. DD has started sharing in the early morning walk duty and I want her to be safe.

I wouldn't trade my Wrangler for all the money in the world. Well, okay, maybe I would but I love my Jeep. I've wanted a Wrangler since I was 16 and it took me until I was 59 to get'er. I've always gotten sucked into the sports / muscle cars. But living in NH, I had no choice really. She's a 2013 and I bought her in 2015 with just 13,000 miles on her. I got an awesome deal. She's a two-door with a hard top but unlike the old CJs, this top is tri-split so I can run topless if I want. Sometimes I wish she had the soft top too because it's definitely easier than removing the hard top. I will run my Wrangler until she dies in my loving hands. I consider her my forever vehicle now.

Good chance, my boss' Jeep starts at $70k. It is a pretty nice car, almost makes it not so bad when I have to go pick him up at the airport.

Not a jeep fan.

I'm a truck girl.

Rusted out or jacked up, I love a truck.

Glad the repairs are reasonable, FWM.

Ever think about a rabbit, FNW?

We celebrated Caitlyn's birthday tonight, she turns 24 tomorrow.

Mom is feeling better, she ate well today.

I'm sore all over.

Bought some new Christmas ornaments.

It's rained all day.

Hope everyone had a nice day.

Rather than pepper spray, which can blow
back and hurt you, use wasp spray. It is
a direct stream, rather than a spray, and
you have much more control.

Always wanted a jeep. There's a purple one I see riding around town. If it were mine it's name would be Barney.

The wasp spray can is kind of big though where pepper spray can hook on to your key chain.
