I don't think it's a long weekend for Wayne. He doesn't get Columbus Day off.

But, that's okay! Enjoy your long weekend, Trudy!

No big plans here.

Just playing it by ear.wink

Off to the park for my walk.

Have a great day, everyone!smile

There is the Autumn Parade and Festival tomorrow. DD is marching in it, she's the drum major. And DS2 turns 21 on Sunday so going to bake him a cake and hopefully go out for dinner or cook dinner.

Morning! I have to work today and tomorrow but am off Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. YAY! I've accepted a new position with lots more money so that should be starting in the next two to three weeks.

It's a super chilly start to the day here but at least there will be sunshine . . . at least I THINK that's what it is. hahaha

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi all!
Great on the new job, fs.

Not a long weekend for me. No prob since I get Thanksgiving week and 1.5 weeks at Christmas that doesn't impact my PTO.

The festival sounds like fun, LGS!

Yee haw on the new job, FS!

Time off at for Thanksgiving and Christmas sounds good, IKWTDS.

So, I went up to the park for my walk.

As I'm waking from the parking lot, to the path, a man stopped and looked at me.

He says, "Are you from Northeast Ohio, or Western PA?"

(I glance down, sure enough I'm wearing one of my Y.S.U. t-shirts, with Pete the Penguin on it.)

I said, "I'm from the Youngstown area. I grew up in Campbell."

He said, "I'm from Steubenville. We used to play Campbell Memorial in football when I was in high school back in the early 60's."

So, we laughed, and had a nice little chat about how that area has gone downhill, since all the sttel mills closed in the 70's.

Such a shame.

But anyway, what a small world.wink

Hey ya'll!

Feeling better today, still sore and stiff, but pain is a solid 5 and that's manageable.

Today my baby is 20.

Going out for Aaron's birthday.

Going to try to get a few light things done.

Happy Friday!

I was thinking the same thing, lily. I really need to lay off the true crime pods.

Three day weekend for me, but not DH. My cousin is coming to DC and we are going to try to get together. Not sure if I'll be able to do car shopping but will try. The boys want to go to the movies Monday.

You know when you get a knew roof, it leads to getting the painting redone, which leads to new landscaping .

Just got through making 25 sandwiches for
tomorrow's Eastern Star school of instruction.
I made sure to make 7 of them with gluten
free bread.

Now I have to pack the car for tomorrow's
chili cookoff.

Dinner was nice, Aaron wanted Red Lobster.

I ate too much and brought home leftovers.

I also over did it, I should not have driven.

I won't be doing anything tomorrow.

We have been planning to pull up carpet in my room, the vinyl in my bathroom, and paint both for over a week.

But it's been one thing after another and we have to put it off.

Everything from my room, except my bed and rocking chair is in my living room.

It's driving me crazy.

Hopefully we can get it done this coming week.

I've never watched porn.

So, I wouldn't know good, from bad.

Are you just insulting me, Lily?

Or, is this just an attempt at humor, gone terribly wrong.

Good grief. I just don't know, anymore.

Guess I'll remember that for future reference.

SB ~
Part of the job quote should be that they
remove all - ALL - the old shingles! There
should be no job debris on your property.

Oh, the nails. I remember when we got our roof replaced. So many nails in the backyard. And they are galvanized so metal detectors won't pick them up. Every evening I'd go out and collect them. Ugh.

Well we must have had unicorn roofers.

They never dropped a nail and shingles came down in bundles.

We had a roofing party back when I was about 10 or 12.

My dad, some cousins, and uncles were all up on the roof.

One cousin lost his footing, fell off, and broke both his arms.

The last time we needed a roof, was 15 years or so ago.

When the tree fell on the house.

Insurance paid for it, so we hired someone.
