Supposed to be 91 today. We are headed downtown for the Run Forrest Run 5K. We run over the bridge from the movie. Twice. Well, walk over it. I'm not running.
The chill has definitely taken over here. Just in time for Halloween which I'm not bothering to celebrate this year because DH and SS are such putzes about it, it's no fun for me anymore.

Vette, maybe change the way you celebrate Halloween. We are doing a movie night with the neighborhood. I mean, it's warm enough here we can do it outside with bon fires and roasting hot dogs. Maybe you could figure out a new way of celebrating .

Being out in the middle of nowhere, we
don't get any trick-or-treaters. Hopefully
the ladies from the Royal Court will make
goodies to distribute to the local nursing
home and the VA nursing home. I've
already given up the position of Royal
Court Coordinator - I'm an old lady, with
no real connection to the girls in the
court.
Vette, if you like pumpkins or anything else special do it yourself. It will make you feel good every time you pull up to the house and see the decor.
I had lunch with a childhood friend of Mom's. She lives near me in this wonderful retirement communities. I had lunch with her and her DH in the Bistro in their building and then went back to their apartment and chatted. Very nice time.
When I came home I took DD and a friend to a farm to get pumpkins. The place was packed. We got the fresh made donuts this place is famous for, got the pumpkins and high tailed it home.
Then I went grocery shopping. By the time I arrived home there were two additional friends over. They are all playing board games right now. I am exhausted.

We had our fall family fun day at work. It was 80+ degrees. Ick!
I went home, took a short nap then headed to the city. Got the fabric and pattern I need to make my Halloween costume. I am now enjoying never ending pasta bowl and a book. Perfect.
Did a chili cook-off today. Made it to
the finals table, but no prize. Oh well.
The worst part is having to lug all the
paraphernalia home and wash it all.
