Good morning. A pretty chilly start to the day here. I thought winter didn't arrive until December. Sheesh! Just a drive-by hello since I have to head out to work. Hope y'all have a fabulous day!

We had a blast with Irene yesterday.

She was done with her meetings by 1:30, so she got to our house around 2:30.

We ate and drank and laughed and played with Cate. It was fun!

We're up to 52*...Yeehaw!

More rain coming, darn it.

Have a great day, everyone!

It's a warm 63 for us.

It rained all night, which was nice.

I sleep like baby, and I needed it.

I feel more human.

FNW, hope you feel better soon.
FWM, glad ya'll had a good time.
Hi everyone, have a good Wednesday.

Cold here. Well, cold for AZ. October is usually warm. I wore my sweater tunic last night and still froze. I prefer the triple digits of summer. Loving having the window open and the fresh air though.

Wednesday's are my slow days at work which is why I chose it as one of my WFH days. I've checked off a lot on my to-do lists for work, mundane but needed tasks including annual training that is due by the end of the month.

It is a raw cool day here. Clouds are moving in. It's supposed to rain tonight, wouldn't be surprised if snow was mixed in.

I am not humping. DH decided to take my iron pills even though I TOLD him men don't typically need iron supplements. Guess what the side effects of too much iron in a man? I'll give the hint again... I'm not humping any time soon...

And apparently the only way to remove iron from your system is to bleed, I. E. give blood, and he's afraid of needles! So I don't know WHAT we're going to do!

And that's my tmi post for the day.

Iron will cause constipation, too.

So, yay!

I don't know what is going on across the road, but it sounds like a huge growling noise, one that will shake the house.

Vette, I about died laughing! It is vampire season you know... ;)

FWM, are you floating yet? Glad you had a good time with your sister.

FNW, hope you can rest and recover from your cold.

Trudy, the question is; Are the gloves warm?

Chef, you were chilly? It's in the 70's and 80's there!

FS, hope you have a good day at work.

IKWTDS, you said that awful S word, so you jinxed yourself!

Momala, is the flooding over in your area?

SB, those sound like pretty nice temps to me. We need warmer weather up here.

Lily, how's your mom doing today?

LL, how is your day going for you?

My day is going. Having a better day than most people in our community. The bus accident yesterday took the wind out of everyone's sails. Three boys still hospitalized, but they will recover.

Other then that, nothing much going on.

Hope everyone has a good day today!

 Bus accident?

Mom is in a regular room, says she feels better, but now she has a fever.

They will keep her another night.

Czech, you are the sweetest thing! I hope you can get a peaceful day, soon!

My day is crazy, as usual. Too much to do, and not enough time or motivation to get it all done.

It's the little things. A few weeks ago our CEO just happened to back in the OR (which is rare). We were having pizza for nurses' week or something. He was invited to have some food and someone asked him if wanted a drink and he said water would be fine. When the tech started to walk out of the lounge to get water from the recovery room he said tap water was fine and everyone responded he didn't want our tap water. The pipes are really old in the sink in our lounge. Yesterday we received a water cooler with six five gallon jugs of water and we will now have a service come every week to exchange the empties. It's something small from admin but it made everyone smile a little.

That is fantastic.  Before we all blame the higher ups for the condition of our work areas we need to remember they probably have no idea.

Oh they know our situation. We are behind the red line so we get overlooked. Labor and Delivery has been remodeled 3 times since I've been there. OR, ZERO. We are next in line. The part of the building we are in is the oldest part. Probably 50 years. Every time we have electrical issues they have to get the blueprints out. We've finally been approved a new AC. Promised by next summer.
