Leftovers Friday!

No cooking today!

Eat the leftovers, or starve!

That's their choice.wink

Mowing the lawn for the last time this year.

I hope to trim the front bushes, and clean up the garden, so I can put up the Christmas lights tomorrow.

Sunny, and heading for a high of 72, today and tomorrow.

We might as well get it done, while the weather is nice.

Have a great day, everyone!smile

I'm still full from yesterday.

Not sure I want to look at the leftovers!

I hope to finish getting the decorations up this weekend, too.

My tree is amazing! Can't wait to show ya'll!

Single digits here. Doing stuff inside due to the cold. Shampooed my bedroom carpet and the area rug in the living room, vacuumed the rest of the house (house cleaner is sick, I know first world problem). About to go grocery shopping. We may put the Christmas decor up outside today.

Lily, how did it go yesterday?

FWM I have my butternut squash casserole left over, that is it. I didn't bring home anything else. The casserole was a hit.

Well, that was exciting. Had a hawk in the front yard enjoying some lunch a bit ago. Got some pics. I guess it got tired of being watched. It grabbed the rest of its lunch and flew off.

I'm going to do the bulk of my decorating today, but I'll save the tree for when we get SS back tomorrow.

Otherwise I'm with Lily down with leftovers! Except maybe the sweet potatoes...

We took a drive to Harper's Ferry. The boys enjoyed it. Last year they studied the Civil War so they knew more about the place than I did, and I've been going there for 23 years. It was very cold, but still enjoyable. We picked up a few things, patronizing the small businesses. Now I need a nap.

I couldn't stand the cold ya'll deal with.

The real feel is 46 here, and are huddled under blankets.

Yesterday was busy, which was good.

It went ok.

Well, today was a total bust !

DH's son drove in from LA to go
fishing with him. Since we sold
DH's fishing camp, we rented a
couple of rooms. DH and son
went to the river, and I went to
get a pedicure.

About half an hour after I got
back to the motel, DH comes
in the door - they couldn't get
the motor to start! Both DH
and his son are good with motors,
so that one is a dead duck.

So we head home, and son texts
DH "I'm hungry". Where can we
go to eat that has parking for a
full size pick-up AND a 14' boat.
The only place we can go is to
the Chinese buffet. And surprise
surprise! Son LIKES Chinese food!

Now to unload the truck and put
everything away. Booo.

You know what? It may not be the plan, but it always works out one way or another. It's an adventure.
