I'm going for a traditional but whimsical look this year.

Was going to use the white tree, but something used it for a maternity and daycare sometime during the year.

When I'm done with everything, I'll get some pics with better lighting.

I'll put the outside lights up, tomorrow. We're supposed to have another nice day. Sunny and 72, again.smile

The inside decorations won't go up until after Conor's birthday, on December 5th.

So, probably the weekend of December 8th, I'll decorate the inside.

I can't stand looking at it for too long.

And, the longer it's up, the more our crazy cats mess with it.no

I hate to be a Scrooge. But, I can only take having the decorations up for 3 or 4 weeks.

So, I put it off, for a bit.

On the bright side, we got the front bushes trimmed today, and cleaned out the side garden.

So, I'm good to go with the outside lights, tomorrow!smile

My decorating will involve laundry and dishes. That will be about it. LL once convinced me that it was important to decorate for myself, even if it was just a little, so ever since then I have had a little Christmas display with my ceramic Christmas tree. This year I will add my Nutcracker. But, this apartment needs to be clean first!

DD doesn't want a tree until it's December. I am fine with that since I really don't want a large tree at all! I used to be a fanatic about it and always put a large one up day after Thanksgiving. We will be decorating the outside tomorrow. I love the outdoor decor as well as the candles in the windows.

I love the tree FMW but DD likes our eclectic style decorations I've collected for the better part of my adult life. I would love to get rid of them and just do a tree like yours. But it is not about me right now, one day...

I love all the trees posted here! You all have wonderful taste!

Me, not so much. Basic pre-lite tree and throw whatever box of decorations I find first onto it...

I have to go to the third floor though first and then drag it all down. Not happening for a week or two...

 I feel ya, Tig!  We put the tree up, but not the stockings, b/c the area by the fireplace is a mess and I need to clean it up!

Those are all SOOO Pretty. I got nuthin...I was HOPING to get hardwoods in the next week or so, I so didn't to decorate, just in case. Looks like that's not going to happen until after the first of the year, so I guess I will be decorating this weekend...

So, when the kids were little, I always got candy canes for them to put on the tree.

They could mess with the candy canes all they wanted, and they could have one a day.

As they got older, that turned into a game of "can we sneak a candy cane without mom knowing".

Well. This year I upped the game.

There are 18 candy canes on this little tree, and 8 bells.

 

I should have added the bells years ago!
