Looks like most the country is dealing with the same storm system.

We have the rain and wind.

The parades have been called off.

What kind of parades were you having?

 Christmas.

My city was supposed to be at 2, the next city over was at 6.

Neither one is happening now.

It's a beautiful day here.

We're heading downtown after dinner, with the kids and Cate to see the Christmas lights and tree.

It should be fun!smile

No storms here. They are moving in overnight. I am hoping for the temps to rise so the roads are not icy tomorrow. We bought the advent wreath for Mom's church and tomorrow it is being blessed in her name. I plan on driving out for the service and then the siblings are going out to lunch.\

Busy day today. DD took Sonny with her to her father's house for the weekend. My house cleaner came and I stripped the beds and wash all the sheets and blankets. Will have a dander free sleep tonight! I did the grocery shopping including picking up baking ingredients to make the dough for Christmas cookies. Put up the cheesy new out door decor DD picked out. groan. I also did some business dealings.

I am now just relaxing. Did the neighborhood socialization today as well. It's only 4:30 so I think I need to purge some clothes and such to prepare for the bathroom reno.

I couldn't live with dander. Sounds like a busy day!

Dull here. Dark, gloomy, rainy. Trying to help the boys make a gingerbread house. It's setting now and hopefully won't fall apart so we can decorate tomorrow. The directions said to "glue" (with frosting) the walls and wait an hour and glue roof on. An hour apparently wasn't long enough because the walls collapsed when we put the roof on. DH managed to get it put back together and I added more frosting to glue it so hopefully it will hold. Ugh. I don't have the patience for this stuff, but #1 really wanted one.

Just talked with my colleague. She's not getting nearly enough referrals either and her caseload is dropping. Glad to know it's not just me.

Sunny, in the mid 70's. Perfect weather
for a chili cookoff! Its in the town where
DH and I go to church. Nothing much in
the way of points for chili,

BUT

I won third place for showmanship !
37 cooks - nice big cookoff - lots of
money for the charity - Golden Age
Club. They serve lunch 5 days a
week - at $0.25 per day! Way to
go ! ! !

Contractually I can't.  It's industry standard to have a non-compete clause.  I would have to leave, wait 8-12 weeks and then pick something else up.  Right now those 8-12 weeks without work would be devastating.  And then starting a new practice, it could be another month or two before the client load gets up to speed.  Ugh.
