Don't forget Pearl Harbor!

Off today. But telecon this morning and then off to the hair salon. I need to get some more Christmas shopping done. I may hit up BB&B since I have a ton of coupons.

Happy Friday!

Cold and rainy here. I think I'll stay in.

On the bright side, my knee is feeling better.

I hope everyone has a good day.

We don't have snow, but temperatures are well below freezing. My little guy will complain, shorten or refuse his walk, but nothing that cute!

Cold here, too! Brrrrrrr!

We went to the club's Christmas party last night. It was nice seeing old friends.

I got us tickets to see The Nutcracker this weekend in DC. The boys will probably groan. LOL

The only way my friend could get her husband to go was to let him know that there was a bar before the show and during intermission.

I went with the 3rd grade, as a chaperone, to see it.

It became the banana show.

One in particular had us mom's extremely impressed.

Waiting for the snow/ice.

I need to check in at the grocery store.

I swear, this is how they do the census around here.

Glad your knee is better, FWM.

Happy Friday!

Years ago, the Boston Symphony Orchestra revamped all the costumes and Props for the Nutcracker. I bought Mom and me tickets. Saw it in Boston. We enjoyed it. Neither of us really into ballet but the show was fantastic. Funny, Mom told me later she went because of all the hype but mostly enjoyed seeing the sights of Boston in China Town on a Saturday: The pimps all decked out, the prostitutes, etc. She could be one hot **** at times.

I've seen it several times and love it. This one is done by the Washington Ballet Co. and they are dressed like founding fathers, etc., with the Prince dressed like George Washington and it takes place in Georgetown. DH & I have seen this version before and enjoyed it. I love going to the ballet. And I try to go downtown during the holidays because everything is decorated beautifully.

Hahaha!

We used to go to the Pops.  It was at the civic center in Worcester.  I would sit there and laugh.  My sister asked me.  I said I sit here and count the people stumbling around in the arena.  We decided from then on that is what we'd do.   The QM would buy tickets every year.  Got old quick.  Counting the stumbling people made it enjoyable.

I am not a city gal, seeing the "real" boston night life was certainly an eye opener. Prostitutes stumbling down the street high on whatever, looking for johns, Johns dropping their prostitutes they just visited on street corners (and obvious wealth johns given the cars they drove).  But that is the memory Mom had of the time I bought pricey ballet tickets and drove her into Boston.

Of course it is! Some of them are fun to watch - the trans can dress phenomenally! You have to separate your experience though.

I remember having the daughter of my friend take me to the red light district in Paris so I could see what a French whore looked like. They were actually quite beautiful and stood in the doorways of the row houses.
