Good morning, peeps! The sun finally broke through the cloud cover. YAY! I have a loooong day ahead of me. Getting ready to head out to work but won't get home until mid evening. UGH! I hate these long shifts but am grateful for the job and extra time for the paycheck.
And #2 coughed all night so I'm home with him. Taking him to the doctor in a bit to see if his lungs are clear. He will be seeing his favorite doctor so he's happy about that.
Today is my last day to have to come into the office until after New year. Working from home tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday then off until the 2nd. Looking forward to it.

Listening to the sounds of drills here. The new counter top and sink is here! It's so pretty! Salt and pepper wave style, with flecks of silver. Love it!
We hope to have a shower tonight. The sink gets installed tomorrow, have to do the dry wall today before installing the sink.
Hope to have all the electrical back sometime before Saturday.
I still have to decide on a color for the walls. Should I go dramatic or plain and simple? I stink at picking colors.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
The sun is shining through a cloud cover, makes my eyes hurt.
Hope everyone is enjoying their as best as they can.

I like colors that allow me to change my mind on things.
Have you seen the transparent epoxy counters?
They're gorgeous.
And the epoxy countertops are the strongest, most temperature resistant material there is.
You can sit a hot things from the directly on it.
It makes a perfect surface for cutting, rolling, kneading.
There isn't anything you can't do on it.

I think so. My contractor recommended a BM greyish color with beige undertones. It is beautiful and I can't wait for it to be used. Maybe Trudy can help me with the color name...Revere Pewter I think.

Not sure I would want a BM color....

It’s going to look beautiful Czech, Picking out paint color is the hardest part to me. My daughter had to work tonight so I got to babysit the grandgirls, gave them bubble baths, made them hot chocolate, watched frosty the snowman and the grinch, did their advent calendar and now finally the youngest is asleep. Tomorrow taking them to the mall to buy something for their mother for Christmas and out to lunch so their mom can sleep since she has to work Friday night as well.

Don't forget that all colors are
made up of several different
colors, all mixed together.
I like green, but if it has too
much yellow or brown in it, it
won't work for me.
If you find a color you like from
the paint chips at the store, take
it and the three lighter shades
of it back home. You'll probably
change your mind, and go for
the lighter shades.
Colors that have brown or orange
in them tend to be very harsh.
Any color that has a base of gray is the best imo. I love grays though. But, the gray cannot have a hint of blue in it. When I'm trying to pick a color, I always take four to six of the paint chips of the same color home and tape them together on the wall. I take a day or two or three to just meander by it and see if I like it. The colors ALWAYS look different out of the store and at home. Lights in these stores distort the true color.
I'm sure you'll pick the perfect color. You can never go wrong with any shade of gray though.
The colors I picked has brown in them, it goes really well with the wood and furniture in my home, I love the Grey look but it wouldn't work in my home
