My plan going forward is to use bags. I have so much of that great quality wrapping paper left from decades of fund raisers, trying to use it up. Plus I am out of tissue paper. Neighbor gave me a roll of scotch tape. So I am good!

Got the gifts all wrapped for my other family. The tickets to the Space Center didn't come yet, so he's getting an envelope with a picture ...
Little girls are so fun to shop for that it was hard to stop. But oh well. They take really good care of me, so it's worth it.
My actual family gifts are sitting on the floor in a box. I'm not sure I should wrap them because the gift cards are being sent to my parents house where we will all be. Easier that way than my running all over the city. I do have to get a basket though. The DB & SIL are getting a coffee basket (gf biscotti, nice espresso, etc) as well. Ugh. Forgot the basket.
Yesterday was terrible. Opened the basement fridge and it smelled to high heaven. It broke! Everything went bad in the fridge and freezer. Had to throw away everything! Then, the one day I'm supposed to get to stay home and work in the house all day - I had to go get a new fridge. A week before Christmas!! Arrgggghhhh!

LL, disasters always pick the most inappropriate times to happen.
We are still living in a disaster zone. Hope the contractors finish the reconstruction tomorrow, then we get to paint and then the new onyx lavatory will get installed and the work will be done!
In the mean time, this house is a mess..
...and Christmas carolers are coming this evening. :/

Good evening! It seems like appliances always break during the holidays. My grandgirls are really excited to see their presents from us arrive, but are having fun playing in the big box they came in. I guess we could have saved a lot of money and just give them a couple of big boxes. :)
Appliances break during the Holiday because it is the anniversary of buying them...10 years later.
I did not buy this fridge. It came with the house. Although the previous owners probably bought it when they moved in 10 years ago. The good news is....a stupid Kenmore appliance is out the door on Wednesday to be replaced with a beautiful Samsung counter depth french door refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer.
I hate Kenmore. They are made by the lowest bidder - usually Whirlpool.

Me, too! But no one has sold it around here in ages. We all opt out of fundraisers by just writing a check at the beginning of the year.
I get most of mine at Hobby Lobby. When it's 50% off, you get 100 square feet of high quality paper for $4. And they have the long rolls for big boxes. Although I did have to get some at TJ Maxx this year because I needed to find paper with a specific color in it, and they didn't have that at Hobby Lobby.

OMG - My friend and I got tickets to a variety show featuring celebrity drag queens from RuPaul's Drag Race. 2 of my all-time favourites will be performing. Now, what to wear? You can't wear just anything to a Drag show.
Shoes like Vette's of course. In red (choices). A wristlet (purse first!). But then I don't know about clothes. I'll have to do some research. I feel like some sort of ball gown is in order. A fabulous one, of course. Lots of sequin and sparkle.
Makeup and hair will be another one ... so many Drag options. I have been dying, though, to do sparkle lips, so this will be my opportunity. I haven't decided what colour to do yet. Will depend on my outfit choice. I'd like to do red or blue or green, I think. I'll have to see what MAC has to offer.
I hate to be a downer but we have been replacing our Samsung appliances one by one (due to breaking, flooding, catching on fire, etc). Samsung should really stick to making phones.

We have a Samsung W&D that we recently bought to replace the LG that lasted about 10 years. So far, so good. I like the wrinkle release function. It works so much better than the LG and I don't have to add water like I had to with the LG.
I hate to be a downer but we have been replacing our Samsung appliances one by one (due to breaking, flooding, catching on fire, etc). Samsung should really stick to making phones.
And TVs? It has a good warranty, hopefully it will be okay. We were limited in choices b/c of the space constraints.
