Cold morning, but not terrible.

Not much going on today.

Have a good one!

It's only 20* here this morning. Snow is moving in for tonight with 1" - 3" predicted. More snow and ice is moving in for Saturday night with an expected 4" - 8" predicted. I'm off work Sunday and Monday so I'm not going anywhere. :o)

I do have to work today through mid Saturday afternoon though. Should be a mad house with the french toast club in hot pursuit of their necessities.

Be safe everyone!

We were expecting snow but now they said snow showers and mostly rain today and the weekend. Warmer temps tomorrow.

Good almost afternoon, so cold, grey, foggy and misty here today. Have a funeral and preparing a meal, a group of ladies and myself for the family after the funeral. This one is going to be the hardest.

We are going into the deep freeze this weekend. -8 is not one of my favorite number for Saturday morning. The wind and snow will not help.

Now I want French toast...

The rain started, again, about an hour ago.

I always want french toast!

Stupid ass microclimates.  My place?  Dry, clearing sky, projected sunny breaks (albeit not many).  Work?  Gross, rainy and damp.  My iPhone didn't take the micro climates into account when it told me I could leave home without my umbrella.

I fell for it again.

Making lasagna, hope it's good.

Have a red velvet cake in the oven.

If the lasagna isn't good, we'll at least have cake.

It's hot, too.

Temp is 39, but the real feel is 46.

It's an odd kind of hot.

Yes, every time we're expecting bad, winter weather, they come out in droves and clear the shelves of eggs, bread, milk and sometimes syrup. All the fixin's for french toast. I always want french toast. Love it.

As for the weather at work, perhaps keeping an umbrella in the car would be a good idea. Then, you're prepared. hmm

People will lose their chickens here when snow is in the forecast.

I remember a snowcast.

I had already bought groceries earlier that week, but if we were going to be closed in, we needed some munchies, so, off I go to the store.

The place was packed, the shelves of eggs, milk, bread, sandwich meats and soups were empty.

I'm headed to pick up a jar of spaghetti sauce I had forgot, and a couple was staring at the last of the soups, I overheard them saying "all that's left is broth" and "what are we going to do".

I look at them and laughed, and asked how they would warm the soup. They said on the camp stove.

I said, if you can warm a can of soup, you can warm a can of green beans, corn, or anything else. Heck, you could make your own soup.

They looked at each other. Back at me. Then started grabbing can veggies.

no  I wish.  I transit, so it is just another piece of something to leave lying around, lose, get in the way, poke someone with, whatever, on the bus and train.  I'd decided that it was just going to be my most recent piece of jewellery, but it was just so pretty this morning!!

So this happened to G today...

He has a pretty bad cold. He went to the store to get cold medicine. The cashier asked for his birthday. He said "May 2nd, 1950". The cashier asked him to repeat it. He did. He cashier then turned to to guy bagging and asked "what number is May?"

G got the impression that this kid doesn't realize the the month isn't just a number...

They breed...

That's crazy, O4.

I had a cashier ask me if what she had in her hand was 27 cents.

This is our future😒

We have a junior in high school working at the grocery store. When she started working she didn't know how to count change back to the customer, so we all started making her count backwards. Took her 3 months to learn to count change! But she did learn. So, there is hope.

It's pretty darn scary what these kids are NOT learning in school or at home. God help us in another ten or twenty years.

Oh, I didn't realize your used public transportation. Sorry. Maybe you could get a collapsible one you could throw in your purse or briefcase?

LOL, you are so stubborn.  A collapsible and some nice  gloves kept in your pocket will solve it!

Right?  I keep gloves in my purse.  Then they weren't waterproof enough, so now I have gloves in my purse that go over the gloves in my purse.

It's raining so hard the dog won't walk.  Now that he has double checked both the front and back doors he has concluded that it is, in fact, raining in both.  And now he can go to bed.

DD14 is sick for the third day today. Nasty cold with low grade fever. I'm taking her to the doctor today - not that they can do anything, but I need a note for all the missed days of school!
