I hooked up all my new monitors and docking station. Laptop works on the docking station. One Monitor has power to it but not recognized by the system, other external monitor, not power. There was power to it 2 weeks ago. I am so frustrated and tired.

I remember when computers/internet was new if I ran into any problem, I would call my provider's customer service number (GTE was my server at the time) in the middle of the night and some nice IT help desk person would talk me through any problem I was having with my computer, server related or not. They were usually bored at that time and willing to take the time with me.
So this is amusing, somewhat. My neighbor had the older video cables, the non HDMI kind and gave them to me. My monitors now work! Even my employer's IT department couldn't figure it out yesterday.
