Got an e-mail from LL and answered it saying that Firefox simply would not allow me to get on this site.

 

After answering, I thought - why not, might as well try again.   And here I am, kind of.    When I open the site there is a box at the bottom - flashing - which says I should check for Windows Errors.   I did not and in fact clicked the "x" to close the box.    Has there been some kind of site renewal that I have missed.   Really glad to be back on here again and hope I can stay on.   

FYI, the site even shows me logged in....    Never will understand computers, I guess.....hmm

Yes, it was back in September that Firefox announced this site was unsafe and I could not get on it. I had/have no e-mail addresses for any of the geeks, so just tried to get on from the internet - no joy. Kept trying through December and then gave up, hoped someone would be able to get a hold of me so I could find out what was happening. Still do not know but whatever the problem was seems to be solved.

What is the Sur.ly for Wordpress that shows at the top? A new provider or something?

Fine over here; getting a little worried over the news..... Otherwise fine. Just lots and lots of dental visits the last few months. My wife has discovered our dentist of 20 years is just this side of being a quack. She is now going to the Dental University's outpatient "Special Care" clinic. Needs all her teeth removed and have finished the top and now on the bottoms. Fortunately mine are not as bad and I am having then fixed/repaired at another dentist not too far from us. If we were in the States, I am thinking we would have pretty good grounds for a law suit, but over here nothing to be done. One good thing is that since she has been having this treatment she says she feels a lot better all over. Guess our teeth can really affect our health. Well, enough of that.

Chrome shows this site s being unsafe as well. I just ignore it and go on anyway.

Glad to see you! We were worried about you! Sorry about the dental problems. That sounds horrible! A dear friend of mine had all her teeth removed and said it was the best thing for her.

What news is having you worried?

 What news specifically are you worried about?

The Quack Dentist thing happened to my sister.  She continued using our childhood dentist.  When was 50 she started experiencing mouth pain, extreme pain.  Discovered the Dentist was not doing a good job and she lost some teeth and had to have root canals and caps on the remaining ones. Very expensive.

Good to see you back, Karl. Sorry about all the dental problems. I've had to go through that too and concur with your wife that once I got them pulled, I felt so much better physically.

FNW, I use Chrome and have never had an issue getting on here or anything saying this site is unsafe.

This site shows as unsafe to log on, for me as well. I have to push through it every single time I log on. I use Windows for my browser. It's been that way for a long time.

Glad your wife is finally getting good dental care.

Well, for the news I am worried about. I am afraid President Trump is not getting good advice regarding how to handle Kim in North Korea. The guy (Kim) is like a child and very stubborn to boot. Thinking the President needs more people who are familiar with the thinking of people in the Far East. Seems to be a completely different mind set. Now, before I hear "but I have a Korean, Japanese, Laotian, Thai, friend" I want to express the opinion that as soon as a person is out of their home town, country, peer group, they start to become another person. Over here the idea of obedience to your elders, betters, whatever is very strong and I think Kim is exploiting this over his people which gives him a mis-leading sense of power internationally. Trump's advisors need to find a weakness and show the President how to exploit it. Otherwise I do not see this thing getting any better, only worse. Moon (South Korea President) is almost hysterical with joy over getting closer to the North. This is a situation fraught with danger, too. If the two countries were to unite, I am positive it would be the North that would be in charge of the new country, not the South. Would not be a good thing like uniting the two Germanys was. Guess that is it and I wonder if I was able to express myself in a way that others can understand....

And as far as the death of the college student, of course Kim is going to deny knowledge. He does not need to explain anything he does to his own people and thinks denial will get him by in the rest of the world. In his country, nothing of any note happens without his knowledge/approval. Notice he does not try to work anything out with relatives - just kills them.... (His brother, uncle). A scary guy.....

 

And a belated thank you to all of your for your warm "welcome back" messages.    Also I am glad to hear I am not the only one with "security" issues.   LOL

 I get the against.  Trump has got this. He gets the issues which is why he left the negotiating early.  Remember how the issues were two years ago and how they are today. The US has Japan's back
