Hope to get finished at the grocery store and back home before lunch.
Turns out it's Spring break.
So I'm gonna pretend I'm in PCB.
Happy Wednesday.

So, yesterday started off good and then got terrible. I was trying to post about it last night, but as I was typing on my computer at home, the Hard Drive failed. Kaput. Died. RIP. I'll be taking it to the computer nerds to see if they can get anything off of it.
Yesterday's good news is that the taxes are done and I had to pay much less than I thought! Yay! Also, since this is the first time ever that I had someone else do the taxes because of the fire and such, I had downloaded all of the tax files off our computer onto a thumb drive, and since the hard drive crashed..... at least I have my taxes.
So yesterday's really bad news. DH has had issues with his hip for years, but he thought it was muscular and dislocated. He's gone to the chiropractor and gotten massages, etc. it wasn't getting better. Then, he has this inflamed tender lump on his side right under his ribcage, so finally, he decides to go to the doctor for the first time in a decade. The doctor sees how he is walking and takes x-rays. Apparently, DH's hip has been fractured for years, and at some point, due to the fracture, his artery that feeds blood and oxygen to his hip ball was severed and now the ball is completely dead. As he walks each day, it is splintering as it rubs in the socket. He needs a hip replacement ASAP. Then, the doctor thinks the tender lump is his gallbladder and is sending him for an MRI for that, and if he is correct, he'll have to get his gallbladder out. Which surgery to have first? On top of all that, his blood pressure is sky high and he has to immediately change his diet completely.
Fun day. The money saved on taxes will be paying his deductible and for a new computer.

Wow, LL, I feel bad for your DH. That is a lot to deal with all at once. Sorry about the loss of your computer, glad you saved the tax records, hope they can save the pictures off the hard drive for you.
Trudy, you have had a rough week! Hope GG recovers quickly.
FNW, don't you just hate waiting? Go rogue, lol.
Lily, good morning!
It is raining here. Yup, just what we needed... Tired of mud.
Have to bake today for church tonight. Yeah, wondering how that is going to work with no water.. sigh.
The neighbors chickens have invaded our yard. One of the cats is scared to death, others are eyeing a yummy meal. lol
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. It IS Wednesday after all.

LL, goodness! It's good he finally went. As for the surgery, perhaps both can happen at the same time? If not, it'll be whichever is most urgent. Gonna just add ya'll to my prayer list.
FNW, you have my permission to go ahead. 😛
HI Czech. Hopefully the rain will be over soon.
I made it home with my goodies.
$300.86 for groceries, and that's after my discounts and coupons!
But, other than eggs, milk, and bread, we shouldn't have to buy anything for weeks.
Now I'm tired and hungry.

I probably will have to go rogue. I did it on this contract last time and "non compliance" was mentioned in my board review. Who cares, I'm retiring in 4 years 8 months anyway.

Personally, I like your spunk! Go girl!

I am heading my friends Mom's house. Bringing beer and pizzas. My friend will arrive and I invited other friends. She needs support of her friends. Of course they all want to see me.

Do the gallbladder first. That way his body can do better healing that hip after surgery. Sorry for all the bad news.

I forgot the salad dressing for my salad. And the cheese I Like to top it with. fml.
I also forgot a fork, but there is a little specialty grocery a few blocks down where you can sit and eat whatever you bought. I thought about investing in some salad dressing, but since chocolate bars are 6-10$ I figured I would avoid the entire experience. Snuck a fork and got out!

This happened to me today. I bought a small cheeseburger from the cafeteria. Been burping for 4 hours now.

Well, maybe I'll save myself a couple hundred calories.
Trudy and LL - hope things get better for your GG and DH. Being sick is the pits. Sounds like they are both getting necessary procedures and, hopefully, this will help them.
DH and I just got back from his (chemical) stress test. His BP took a nose dive to 80/54, so they held him in the lab area for a couple of hours. Now we have to go back to our primary care doctor, and have all his meds re-evaluated. If its not one thing, its another.

LL - If the MRI doesn't show anything and the gall bladder is suspected, ask about a HIDA scan. That was the only thing that showed my gall bladder stopped functioning. All imaging scans were normal.

I'll let him know, but whatever it is is swollen and tender, so should show something.

I hope it does. Gall bladder pain is intense.
Mine was very tender but not swollen. I was shocked that the who knows how many imaging scans I had done showed nothing. Surgeon said it was the healthiest looking non-functioning gall bladder he ever removed. One of my friends had his gall bladder stop working but the CT caught his. My body is just stubborn.
DH was the opposite. He had gallstones so it showed up right away.
I've had gall bladder issues most of my adult life.
It'll swell, I'll get sick, all the symptoms of gall stones. They'll give me antibiotics and in a week, I'm better.
When I was pregnant with Aaron, I was hospitalized due to my appendix. They gave me iv antibiotics and I went home the next day.
I read an article waiting at the cardiogist last week that said more are using antibiotics to try to treat gall bladders and appendixes instead surgery.
