Good morning, my pretties.

I got a pretty good nights sleep, for a change.

Wayne ad I did 2 laps around the duck pond. (About 2.8 miles in 48 minutes. Not super fast, but it was nice.)

We saw lots of different birds, but the mother duck with her babies were too cute!

I'm picking Cate up at 10 for a play date.

Cable guy is coming at noon.

Busy day for me.

Have a good one, everyone!smile

Ahh, lots of chores are done and I took the dog for a nice long walk. My knee looks horrible but so much better.

I do need to do a few work things to prepare for the week. A few items I could not prioritize last week. Then I will be done.

Making keywest chicken breasts for tonight with fresh bakery rolls and will make a garlic infused olive oil and sprinkle on some crushed red pepper. Asparagus as the veggie.

I looked it up, too! I agree, it does look good.

Will have to try those next weekend.

Sooooo much pollen.

Can't open the house because of it.

So the air conditioning is running.

But the weather is perfect and I want outside.

I'm gonna have to find me a mask.

#2 has a sore throat. It looks a little red down there. No other symptoms so I'm not sure what it is.

The weather has been beautiful this weekend. We planted a couple more green giant trees along the fence between us and the new neighbor. I met the new neighbor yesterday. She seems nice. But with them having two big dogs and a toddler, they will be making use of their yard which the previous did not, so I want to beef up the privacy along that side.

Not sure if I want to take #2 out to Mass tonight...

I wish I could take my dog out more but he is so dog aggressive I don't like to take the risk of running into another dog. Especially because of the snowflakes who think they don't have to keep their dogs on a leash (even though it's THE LAW).

So he only gets super late night walks (I'm a little too tired at 3 in the morning)

Wow to the bolded.  Really.  People in my town get reported all the time if a dog is off the leash.  Lost dogs that got out of their fence we are concerned about and band together to find them or their owner.  But one that merely walking with their owner off a leash, you better believe they are reported.

It's been lightly raining since 1 today.

I've got the doors and windows open, finally.

I wondered about that, too, but his throat is pretty red and he started to get a fever this afternoon.

Pollen, the curse of spring. Hope all of you find effective ways to cope - mask, tonics, pills, whatever works for you. I have good luck with Kirkland Allergy Pills (from Cosco??). We get a bunch of sand dust blown from Mongolia just to help along the pollen....

IKWTDS, glad to hear your knee is getting better. My bandage just got smaller and smaller, then fell off. Kind of like an Alice in Wonderland thing, Looks like heck, but no pain, etc.

I envy all of you with your energy and agility to use the treadmill. Keep myself to walking in the park. Sigh....

Hmm an Alice in Wonderland reference.  Me thinks there is more to the Karl life story.

Most wonderful dinner with DD.  everything was delish.  The leftover asparagus is salad worthy.

Just got back from a FABULOUS
anniversary dinner with DH. Went
to a place that offers frogs' legs,
which is DH's favorite. Everything
was delish! Wrote a nice review on
TripAdvisor.

Had a rude awakening around 4:30
this morning - HAIL ! Thankfully it
was small, and there was no damage
to the car, but then came the rain !
Torrential rain. 3 1/2 inches in less
than 4 hours. On the drive to
church, even the truckers were
driving ten mph under the limit.
But on the way home, the sun came
out and it turned into a beautiful
day.

I'm riding the Nyquil train.

My head feel like a balloon.

It's muggy, too.

He's off to see the doctor this morning. Still sore, but no longer red. I did see some white vein-like lines yesterday. And now his head also hurts. Could be ears, too. We'll see.

Treat it like a virus he said. But I did learn something...he said give him either mylanta or Maalox for his throat. Apparently it reduces the acid which irritates the throat. Who knew!

It coats, too.

If he can hold and let it slowly slide down, it'll coat better.

You can also put cold packs on the throat, that helps, too.
