I've done errands. I need to go to the grocery store but am holding off a bit. When I drove by about and hour ago it was packed. I am fairly certain it won't calm down all day so I am psyching myself up to be able grin and bear it.
Happy Saturday all

I went yesterday and got the last 3 things I needed for Sunday.
I try to avoid the grocery store on the weekends, and especially those on or before special occasions.
It's cooler and cloudy today. I think the rain is gone.
I need to put things up, clean for a bit.
What I want is to pack a bag and just drive.

I clean the house, I do the shopping, I do all the cooking, I run the errands, I clean up after you ALL. THE. TIME.
Why are you being pissy when I need you to fix a belt on the twenty+ year old vacuum?
Ok. Back to regularly scheduled programming.
We got more rain.
All the local egg hunts for today are not happening.
Not sure when they'll be rescheduled. If at all.
The best thing about today is there are no ballgames across the road.
Of course you can't be outside because of the cold and rain, but it's quiet!

After a gloomy, rainy, tornado-y Friday, we have a beautiful day. Boys went swimming as the pool opened while we were gone. We colored eggs and I filled plastic eggs for hiding. Almost used up all our spare change which was in a large jar/bank. Probably a couple hundred dollars worth at least. The boys should be happy.
And the rain stopped so I took Sonny out. The may flies are out, such an annoyance.
I have the green beans washed and will make the salad tomorrow morning. It's green bean with red wine vinegar and garlic/feta/chopped tomato. I may add walnuts. The beauty is it is to be served cold so no cooking at Bro's house. And I have this blueberry/lemon bundt cake plus aged cheddar and crackers.

I'm making a small ham, au gratin potatoes, french cut green beans, and rolls, strawberry soda cake for dessert.
Mom has decided to make a turkey breast, and canned yams. She bought a Pepperidge farm coconut cake.
Dad made a pound cake.
It was just going to be my kids and my parents, but mom stared inviting people.
Now, I don't know how many will be here.

I think she should make each of us one and overnight it to us!

Got the lilies (all 30 of them!) up to the
Church, and was delighted to have one
of the younger ladies there to help me
with them. We put ten of them up on
the cross beam of the window behind
the altar, and the rest on risers under
the altar.
The supermarket was a madhouse -
lots of the produce cases were empty -
no celery, no parsley, no asparagus.
And they will be closed tomorrow. I
heartily approve!
Got home and roasted a mini-rack of
lamb. Smeared it with honey mustard
and added seasoned bread crumbs. It
was yummy.
DH and his son are having good luck
with the fishing. This is the first time
we've been apart, other than when I
was in the hospital for the fire ant bites.
I miss him.
