And they are off! The 8th grade that is to DC. What a morning. DD got up late. She had packed last night but still scrambled. We got stuck in the traffic going to the school. We were 15 late but so was everone else. I wasnt worried since we were following the buses into school. They are probably driving by Trudy right now.

I hope they have a fun trip!

Got my walk in. Muggy as hell. Waiting for the rain.

I'm picking Cate up at 10 for a play date.

Have a good day, everyone.smile

The pineapple made me laugh! Where did that come from, IKWTDS?

Rainy and cold here....again...(que Forrest Gump, lol)

Forecast to get 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight. I don't think this winter weather is ever going to end. The rhubarb is not going to like the snow anymore than I am.

Trudy, have you had your coffee yet? ;)

IKWTDS, your DD will have so much fun! So glad she has the oppertunity for excursions to D.C.!

FNW, how are the boys doing?

FWM, enjoy your play date with Cate.

Good afternoon, Lily.

I need to clean house. No energy...sigh.

Actually had a leftover chicken parm sub. trying to put the refrigerator back together was draining. Everything wet in the cooler? What a mess.

DS wants to send cash with us to play games for him. Trying to figure out what'd be a good amount to tell him. Anyone have current info on how much the carnival style games at Circus Circus and Excalibur are?

Yelp isn't being helpful.

I'm gonna stick to games I know I can win - like the balloon pop. Only playing once. I'm not getting suckered into the sham of playing more for bigger prizes.

Hey czech! The boys are doing well, except #1 is still struggling with the lack of structure and rules enforcement at his school. I'm seriously considering Catholic school for him next year but will talk to them both when they get home.

Talking to them sounds like a good idea, FNW. Maybe both want to change to a private school. The structure is better. Good luck.

We're looking into it. The time for applying has passed, but there's one I'm very interested in that accepts rolling apps. So if there is room, they still might get in. One of the teachers is our neighbor and his wife referred us last fall, so we'll see. I did name drop on the app request when they asked how I heard about them. #1 has an appt. to shadow the school in a couple weeks at their open house. I am also arranging for a tour of the Catholic school nearby but they only go to 8th grade where the other goes through 12th. It would be nice to have the option to continue throughout rather than have to figure something out again later.
