Dad is getting ready to head out for his colonoscopy. Mom will go with him. Waiting to see them off.
Nothing else planned for today.
Thinking of pulling my paints out.
Happy Thursday.

Overcast here. Working from home, of course, with nothing else going on. The boys will shadow the Catholic school in a couple weeks. They are looking forward to that. I understand that their current teachers were given until the end of the week to complete their narratives that the Catholic school needs as part of the admissions package. I'll email the front office next week and ask if the paperwork was completed and sent over. I have to get all this done before school lets out and the staff goes home for the summer.
The internet is a weird place. So far today I've come across the opinion that adults should not use the word boyfriend (I assume girlfriend is off-limits too), bartenders should somehow be able to surmise what their customers will do once they leave the bar, and that some people can't handle others raising their children to be to handle adversity.
In other news, DS' teachers all wrote really sweet notes to him in his Oh The Places You'll Go book. Above and beyond what I was expecting. It's going to be so awesome for him to look back on all the notes from the over the years when he graduates high school. I hope he'll cherish it as he embarks on his college adventure.
He's officially a Cubbies graduate. He got his ribbon and Cubbies certificate last night. He's excited to move on to Sparks next year.
Lily, I read that as "pulling my pants off". I definitely need more coffee.
FNW hope the shadowing goes well for the boys and the current school gets the paperwork done!
Trudy, it's chilly, overcast and breezy here. I just want sunshine and 80s every day from now until the middle of November!
Off to work soon. Have a great day!
LOL!

Going in a bit to pick up my van. Finally got the A/C fixed.
Then I need to get mom and Caitlyn a little something extra for mother's day.
And then I need to work on the grave flowers for my grandmothers graves.

Had a wonderful dinner last night
with a friend of DH's, who used to
live right next door to him. She
was one of the first people he
introduced me to, once we had
announced our engagement.
She immediately got us and
threw her arms around me and
gave me a HUGE hug and kiss.
She has since moved to Virginia
to be near her sons and grands,
but she comes back at least
once a year.

Done with work and onto much ignored personal messages that I couldn't get to in the past few weeks.
The first of 3 bathrooms to be reno'd is happening next Wednesday. So happy. Since I am replacing only the tub and surround plus new paint and medicine cabinet and towel bar and lighting accessories it will take only 1 day, maybe a spill over into a 2nd. Plus they are installing a much needed ceiling exhaust fan. this house is 40 years old and at that time exhaust fans were not needed per building code. Once all is done I am going to BB&B and buy new bathroom mat and such.

To be honest, I am, currently, pantsless. So there is that.
Seriously, though, I am so close to just going to bed.
I'm so tired.

Me too. Had to read twice. No judgement, though. First thing I do when I get home is drop the pants. Spome people take off the bra, I drop tyhe pants.
Me too! Well, I don't wear a bra and haven't for more than 40 years but as soon as I get in the house, shoes off at the door and right to the bedroom to change in to something much more comfy. We should've been born rich so we could sit home in our comfies all day! :)

Thanks everyone! We had a great visit! Dinner was yummy. If only the weather had been a little better.
A cold front came through. Windy and chilly, so we didn't spend much time on the patio.
And, when I woke up and saw that it was 68* in the house, I wimped out, and switched from A/C to heat, for what I hope is the last time this season.

if I woke up to my house being 68 I would contemplate turning the A/C on.

I used to take off the bra until the boys got older.....but I still relax in shorts or comfy pants.
I rock the sport bra at home, and out sometimes if I just don't feel like changing.

I keep the a/c at 68. Cooler at night.
