More rain. Just what we didn't need, right about now.
I hope the Houston area isn't getting this. They were flooding, last time I looked.
On the bright side, our weekend shouldn't be a total wash out. The rain is supposed to end by noon. Then, we should dry out, and have a nice day on Sunday.
(Fingers crossed, that the weatherman gets it right, for a change.)
I should probably go back to bed, and try to get a little sleep.
It will be a brunch weekend. Today the infertility clinic throws their annual Baby Reunion brunch and tomorrow, the boys take me to the club for Mother's Day Brunch.
It's a beautiful day here, other than having to deal with the noisy, crazy neighbor below me, who, thankfully, has been evicted and is in the process of packing up. Clear sky, lots of sunshine and a really nice, cool breeze. Love having the open windows and doors. Need to get the last of the laundry done and a bit of cleaning around here. Going out to dinner with friends later today.
Waiting for our friend G to arrive then it's off for an adventure day with DS. G put together a fun-filled day for him as a graduation present. Then it's off to Vegas tomorrow for DH and I for a week. Then the week after is DS' last week of preschool. Seems like just yesterday he was off to his very first day of preschool and now it's almost over. I love that he got to be a part of his school's inaugural preschool class. The Preschool Class of 2019 will always be a special one for that reason.
IKWTDS, enjoy your day. I'm practicing my say so I get it right! 😄
FNW, enjoy your brunches.
FS, I hope you get better neighbors.
Chef, have fun.
We have rain, too. It started last night and hasn't stopped.
It's a steady rain, though, so that's good.
I need to vacuum and sweep, but that's it.
Oh, go to the store for basics.
Happy Saturday.

It finally stopped raining. I'm hoping for some sunshine this afternoon. Did the Costco run and the Kroger run. I'm going to take it easy the rest of the day, I think.
Enjoy the brunches, FNW!
Glad to hear the crazy neighbor will be gone soon, FS. Enjoy the nice weather!
Have fun on your vacation, Chef! I can't believe how fast your little guy is growing up!
Hi all. Sounds like everyone is having a decent day! I did inside stuff today. Should have saved it for tomorrow when it's raining.
My brother had some good/bad news. His eye test revealed that his field of vision was at 18%. Bad because that's not a good number. Good because now disability can't keep turning him down. Their guidelines require vision at 20% or less. His trial is set for July 3rd. May just get to bypass that with the new medical report. Still going down there anyways. I need a vacation!

Gosh, SB! I'm sorry to hear about your brother, and his vision problem. May I ask, what caused his vision loss?
I will hold a good thought and pray that his disability comes through.

He has a disease called neurofibromatosis. He has fibromas growing on his optic nerves. He's already blind in one eye. The other one is slowly going. He's 57 years old.
I have NF as well but have not had any major issues from it. It's genetic. DD has it.if she has kids there's a 50% chance of passing it to them.
Two of my siblings don't have it and had zero chance of passing it on. My oldest sister had it as well and her two sons have it. Oldest nephew passed it to his two kids. The boy has a lot of health issues. He has one in his brain and had to go through two years of chemo to keep it from growing.
Well crud. We got rained out.
Our Community Association had
scheduled our first Market Day -
we had 50 vendors signed up.
We got notification at noon on
Friday that it was still on, so we
all packed up our cars and got
ready to set up at 6:30 in the
morning.
6:00 comes, and it is still drizzling,
but no notification of cancellation or
delayed opening. So off we go.
When we get there, the powers
that be are just STARTING to put
out the tables. With 50 vendors
signed up, I was happy to be one
of the first to arrive, so I got the
spot of my choice.
The girl who occasionally helps me
with my housework was supposed to
help me unload the car, put up the
canopy, and set out my merchandise.
When 7:30 came and went, I left her
a voice message. Five minutes later,
she calls me - my phone call woke her
up. Yikes.
30 minutes later she shows up - with
a whole crap load of baby clothes she
wants to set out on my table. No way!
The table is only 6 feet long, and I
have all the stuff I need to sell already
set out.
Since we were being rained out, the
lady who was running the sale said
she could set up on the table next
to me. Know what? She only sold
one outfit, for $2!
We got rained out today, but we are
planning to do another Market Day
next month. Hopefully, the weather
will be nice to us.
