Sun came up bright, and at full power this morning.
I really tweaked my back yesterday, left side, all the way down my leg, feels like a long cramp. But, it'll get better.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.
Happy Sunday.

Beautiful earlier, then it poured. So I went out to do errands; flowers for the deck and grocery shopping.
The sun starting peaking out and the rain stopped so I took Sonny for a walk. I am doing the Vicks challenge, putting dabs of it on my ankles and behind the ears to keep the bugs at bay so far so good. Much better than spraying myself with chemical repellent.

Vicks? I never heard of that. Cool. Thanks for the tip!
Started out gray here but the sun popped out late morning. It's super breezy but it sure feels nice coming in the windows and patio doors.
Ran a few errands early afternoon, picked up some of my favorite donuts, a couple more house plants (I know, I have to stop!!!) and a few little groceries. Going to settle in on the patio and read a bit. It's sooooo freakin peaceful without that bitch here. I can finally enjoy my patio. Yeehaw!
I'll have to try vick's. I love the smell. I grew up with a row of eucalyptus trees behind the pool and I never had problem with bugs. But it was California where we don't get as many...although mosquitoes come out at dusk. Still, not bad in the backyard.
Last summer we had a couple citronella plants we created a perimeter with, that made it tolerable, but you had to shake or rub the plants now and then.

WOW! I ran for cover. I was out on the patio / balcony when I heard continual rumblings in the sky. Ten minutes later, it started to rain. Ten minutes after that, holy hell broke loose. There has been continual flashes of lightning and rumblings of thunder literally non-stop. Rain is pouring, hailing, trees are blowing sideways and it is so dark out it's like ten at night. YIKES!!! This has been going on for since 5:00 p.m. now. And the storm isn't even over us yet, judging by how long it takes the thunder after the bolt of lightning. The house is muggy because I had to close up all the windows and doors. UGH
Otherwise, it was a glorious day. Nice sunshine, nice breeze, mid 80s. I managed to get my running around done and have settled in for the night. I'm making sausage simmered in beer with green peppers, onions and a touch of garlic. I bought some good, fresh made hoagie rolls. I'll have a side of chips with it.

Thanks, lily! The wind is what made it seem so bad. We've just had another storm move through lasting a couple of hours. I was in heaven. It was, by far, THE best lightning show I've seen in a very long time. It was rolling east to southeast and back again literally continually. It had some awesome bolts thrown in too. I'm glad it wasn't as windy as the previous one so I could keep the patio door open and watch! And, the rain wasn't as intense. It's a good day. The bitch is moved out and an awesome lightning show. Who could ask for more!
