The real feel is 102, but there is a nice, light, breeze which makes it bearable in the shade.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

I'm still working hard at my Mom's house. Everything is planted, and I put her solar lights in.
Now, I'm busy taking care of last minute details, to make it look even nicer.
I scrubbed her porch furniture today. And tomorrow I want to clean her screen doors, and the window sill on the porch.
I'll post pictures when I get back home.
Tomorrow is my last day here. Tuesday morning, I'll drive to West Des Moines and stay with my sister Monica for a day or two, depending on the weather.
I'll get back to Fort Worth Friday afternoon at the latest.
Geesh lots of ambition FWM. I went to take the dog for a walk this morning and found my neighbor cutting up the tree that split in half next to my driveway. DD and I spent the next few hours helping and dragging the cut branches to the woods. Luckily I had an electric chain saw as he had only a hand saw.
But just a vent. Another neighbor came over, she is a talker, and really interrupted our progress. She just kept talking and wanted to show us pictures and we just wanted to get the job done. I like her but really it was a bit rude of her to interrupt us. If you want to chat while we are working then pitch in otherwise just get out of the way.

ROFLMAO! Some of Mom's neighbors, saw my Texas plates...and they said ,"Honey...please get out of town, before someone runs you out on a rail. You make the rest of us look bad."
My Mom, has the nicest garden on the street. (I'm not saying this to brag, I just wanted it to look as perfect as can be, before I head back to Texas.)
And, I will putter around some more, tomorrow. I will get it, as nice as I can, before I run for home. By way of West Des Moines, IA.
I make a big circle, Fort Worth to Nashville, (Great fun, staying with Oh4 and G for the night!) I took off early, and stopped in Cincinnati, to have lunch with my sister Trudy. Got back in the Beast, and off to Columbus, for a couple of days with Irene and Phil.
Sunday morning, a short hop, from Columbus, to Campbell. (A 3 hour drive) Hang out with Mom for 9 days. And, back on the road.
Campbel,OHl to West Des Moines,IA (750 miles. If the Traffic Fairy is kind, 12 hours and change.) A day or two of rest/visiting. And, the run down I-35...to Fort Worth.
Another 750 miles. I run it in a day. I'm so used to doing this, it doesn't even phase me.
It's good that I love to drive. I am the Road Trip Queen!
The poor Beast, will have racked up around 3200 miles, on this trip.
Oh well, He'll get over it.
I'm starting to miss my peeps, my plants, my pets.
I will be happy to get back home. (Until we hit 100*...and then, I will wish I was back in Ohio! LOL!)
We drove up to Chesapeake City and had lunch with the SIL. Had seafood for lunch, walked around the canal and stopped for ice cream, browsed the shops before saying our goodbyes and headed back home. It's about a 2 hour drive for us, an hour for her. We used to meet there when MIL was alive. It's an old historic town and MIL loved those types of places. It was a good day.
