Went to a neighborhood party Saturday. It was more fun than I expected, even though we were saying farewell to three families that are moving. The boys had blast with the other kids. I didn't realize how many kids there are in the 'hood. I usually stay away because I figured the other kids were so little the boys wouldn't enjoy themselves, but there were a couple older boys who came and even the little ones were entertaining to them. We'll definitely start going to more in the future....
Only lost a couple of shingles in last
night's wind storm. Most of my
shrubs were lying flat on the ground
from the wind. The rain wasn't too
bad, but the wind was fierce.
A water main broke just outside the
watermelon stand - DH got flooded
out - he couldn't even open up this
morning. The city is there, trying
to figure out where to dig. Hope
they get it fixed today, not only for
us, but also for the people who have
no water. Tomorrow we'll have to
deal with mud, mud, and more mud.
Sorry to hear that, Momala. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Thanks Lily! I talked to her yesterday, and it sounds like medication is taking care of the aneurysm. But her knees are still bothering her. She will have to spend some time in a rehab center once she is released from the hospital. But, the doctor hadn't been in to see her yet, so we don't know when that will be.
I'm sorry to hear about the wind storm, Momala. The one that hit Dallas on Sunday, missed us. We got lucky, again. I hope the damage is repaired soon. This Spring has really been crazy.
