I vegetarian friend has been buying the brand of burgers from whole foods, aka Amazon, that burger king is using for their latest menu item. She said they are really good and smell and taste like real burgers. I checked the nutrional label and see the burger by itself has 450mg of sodium and the plain burger with lettuce and bun at burger king has 959mg sodium. Yikes! Of course they taste good. I bought 93% fat free Angus patties yesterday and the have only 75mg each.
People are being fooled into thinking that if its vegetarian it must be healthy.

I don't think I'll understand the vegetarian meat thing.
I mean, you don't want to eat meat, but you want food that tastes like meat.

That is not what this thread is about. It is about putting alleged healthy food out there that isn't.
Oh, wow! Sorry!

I love vegetarian food. Both my sister and sister in law are vegan. I'm very open minded about what they eat and don't judge them for it.
That said, IKWTD is right, just because it's vegetarian doesn't mean it's healthy. My sister's favorite are vegan chocolate chips, I send her bags every now and again

Or was it a bad five minutes that you milked all day?
Also (sorry, not sorry I have a lot of thoughts on this). I would say most people who want to simulate the meat taste have grown up eating meat and are transitioning into vegetarianism. It makes it easier if you can eat things that taste as familiar as possible.
