Tackling the hall pantry. Wish I had taken a before picture.
What a mess! It's been the catch all for 4 years.
And now I tweaked my knee!
Oh well. Just another day in paradise.

On our way home, we drove with the top down. A good thing, as we passed an elderly neighbor's house we heard a call for help. The old couple (90, 93) were sitting on the front porch in lawn chairs but the wife was on the ground. The boys and I tried to lift her but she was too heavy. She obviously had dementia, saying that man was trying to kill her. The "man", her husband, could barely stand for long. Anyway, I called 911 and the firemen came and helped. I went home but alerted the neighbors. The next door neighbor said she spoke with the daughter and the family and caregiver were there now and they were okay.
How scary for the couple fwm, they were fortunate that you drove by and were able to get help for them. Hopefully they will get the help they need.
Good evening! As much as I complained about the rain, the days it doesn’t rain is so pleasant. I’ve been taking the boys outside alot before it gets to hot.
Hi, Lindley. What is this "before it gets too hot" ? 🤔 😅
My knee is puffy, but better.

PSA to our wonderful peeps.
If you have a frail neighbor, make sure
they have these things.
1. Cellphone. Make sure they have "ICE"
numbers included. This means that if police
or ambulance personnel try to help them,
they can reach sons, daughters, immediate
neighbors, etc. "ICE" on your phone means
"In Case of Emergency" .
2. Whistle. I mean the metal kind called
"Whistlers". Not just the kind that sports
coaches might use, but rather substantial
ones. This whistle can make a LOT more
noise than someone calling for help.
I love our neighbors, but sometimes they
really need more help than we can give them.
Sometimes, they just need more than than
EMS or EMT neighbors can give them
I'm so glad I can help my neighbors. who
knows ... some day I may need all the
help I can give.
Thanks. It was the first time the boys were exposed to dementia. It was a good teaching moment, too, to help thy neighbor. They had heard how my grandmother had Alzheimer's, so now they could see what it was like. They were worried the couple were going to divorce because they were yelling at each other. I explained they yelled because they could not hear very well. And she would not divorce him because she doesn't even know she's married.
Alzheimer’s is a horrible disease, my uncle had it and at the end he couldn't remember my aunt. I know it was heartbreaking for her. They were childhood sweethearts.
