Nephew is getting married today. He and his beloved will tie the knot in a small, outdoor ceremony in the mountains, at the 4-h camp they met at.
And it's going to be in the upper 90s on the mountain at 5:30.
I'm thinking I can go at this point.
At some point, they'll be cake!
Happy Saturday!

It's a rainy day here. I walked around the garden department at Lowes. In the rain. It was so peaceful. I got two half barrel planters that will fix my rude neighbor problem. I bought two pretty asparagus plants but I already found a different spot I want to put them in so now I have to go back and find something else.
My butt is firmly planted in front of my computer and it feels so good. My parents are on vacay for the rest of the month so I've been on DS duty schlepping him to and from school. I don't do mornings so it's been hard for me. First world problems, I know. My dad usually drives him since he gets up early anyway. I loved sleeping in this morning.
He's enjoying Kindergarten. His teacher says he's one of her best students and that he likes being the leader. I'm thrilled that he's excelling with the advanced curriculum. I was worried about him adjusting to a full day of school but he's doing great. I've noticed that his writing has gotten a lot better since school started. It's only been 4 weeks and feels like they've packed in so much.
His girlfriend's mom found out he's learning Spanish so she's offered to help him out when he's over at their house. I love that. Immersion is a great way to learn a language.
Welcome home, FNW! I loved our
cruise to Maine and north. It was
in May, and the weather was COLD !
The ship was on its "re-positioning"
cruise, from the Bahamas, and the
furnaces didn't work! We could see
our breath in the passageways! The
Coast Guard boarded the ship in
Boston, and we finally got heat in
Kennebunkport. It was interesting,
to say the least. Glad your weather
was nice.
I tried to go, but the car ride was too much, especially after starting up the mountain. Caitlyn had to bring me back home.
So, so sick, and weird, almost electric shock like pain in my side.
Zofran onboard. May need to use some pain meds.
This sucks!

Welcome back FNW! Lily, take it easy. Tig, I have my flute just collecting dust. I've had it since jr. high school. Haven't played since 9th grade.
Me either. And even then I wasn't very good. Faked it in concert every single time (not sure I ever played a note in concert). Trying it again because I love the instrument, but wow. I need to develop some lung capacity! I was diagnosed with lung disease a few months ago, and this is supposed to help ....
Come on ever everyone! We'll bastardize Itsy Bitsy Spider together! I am also very good at mangling that song from the last Hunger Games movie. The one that she sings about people being hung.
