Boys have an ice cream social at their new school today. They'll get to see their classroom and meet their teachers and fellow students. I'll get to learn about extracurriculars and logistics.
Our schools have stopped doing the open house thing before the first day of school.
They go in the first day, find their names outside their home rooms and that's it.
Not sure why they went back to doing it that way.

That's how it was when I was in school. I kind of like this new way. It gives a chance for kids to know what to expect. First days of school was always a little nervous for me.
Parents are still allowed to come in with their kid in elementary school that first week, but after that, the schools don't really want it to continue.
I get it though.

After work I need to take dd to pick out new glasses. Monday we have the freshmen orientation round #3.
We, dd and I are trying Hello Fresh. Three meals are to be delivered today. Hope it works out for us as it will be nice not having to figure out meals every day and it is cheaper than take out.

The bottom just fell out. Thunderstorm with a lot of rain.
Can't see across the road there is so much rain coming down.
And! I got dinner in the oven. A simple chicken and potato casserole.

Hello Fresh was great for me - easy, and sometimes things I wouldn't have thought to cook myself. It got pricey though.

Our first package arrived. We plan on cooking the first meal tomorrow. Thing is, as long as the cuality is good, it's less expensive than takeout for the 2 of us and solves the issue of planning meals for a few evenings each week.

I never had problems with the quality of the food that was sent and it was always just enough for the meal, it was also easy to make since the directions were easy to follow. I hope you guys enjoy it.

My keyboard sucks. Many of the keys don't work and I have to press them over and over again before the character will appear. I have a Dell laptop. I'm not sure I would get one again.
My laptop keeps turning itself on and then the battery runs out. I don't use it very often so I don't keep it plugged it. Every time I go to use it it is on and I am positive I shut down.
