Seeing a new doctor today. I've needed a regular doctor for a while, so, I'm finally getting established. Hope I like this one.
After that, we, Caitlyn and I, may slink around the Salvation Army and some thirft/junk stores. We like looking at the stuff.
Don't ya just hate sneezing fits? Just scared the hummingbirds away with one.
Anyway, happy Thursday.

Shameless brag: The boys' new school wants to move them up to PreAlgebra 6 based on their recent testing scores! They will be excited to know they're "advanced."
They were advanced in public school but the new school wanted to start them in regular 6th grade math. They were surprised and upset but it is what it is. So at the Back to School Night the math teacher told me she needed to talk to me real soon. So now I know. She wrote me this morning to get my permission to bump them up. They will be thrilled.
I have to work Friday, Saturday AND Sunday this week because I can't work overtime next weekend or the one after. Man I'm going to be pooped. But, I do get to take a trip to Montana to visit my grandparents and sister who is flying up

Hope you like your new Doctor, Lily. Seems like everyone is a specialist these days and a person just gets referred from one to the other. I miss the days when a person would go to a Doctor who could diagnose and treat most illnesses. If it was out of his hands, just get the patient to the hospital. Maybe there are just too many diseases these days and no one person can keep up....

Very good point Karl. I miss the single PCP who could do most things.
How are you doing?

I like this new doctor. Older guy, but I feel like he really listened and took me seriously.
However, I now have a whole lot of things, he wants to do in the next 3 months. Mammogram and colonoscopy for starters. Oh well.
He ordered a lot of blood work and is going to gather all my information.
Today was fun. Caitlyn and I used our gift cards for Red Lobster. It's endless shrimp time right now. I'm still full from lunch.
FNW, did it hurt, #1's thumb? Poor guy. But awesome about the advancement. Congratulations.
Vette, enjoy your visit, sorry you have to work the weekend.

Yes, it hurt, lily. Better once they popped it into place.
I always wonder if it hurts, dad dislocated his shoulder and wanted to drive himself to the ER.
Dislocated anything is stomach turning to look at, to me.
I'm glad it is better now.

I heart my PCP. She gets waaaay to excited over medicine. I told her that my bronchodilators weren't working and she immediately jumped into options and then into her sample room to see what she could find for me, all the while extolling the virtues of each one!
When I asked about her thoughts on allergy shots she got all excited again about how great they are, but that there are also drops that can be used and how great they are ... She's a bit of a wild card that way. Makes me laugh.
Tiganello, is your doctor young? Seems like younger doctors always jump to the worst conclusion. What is that saying about hoof beats are usually horses, not zebras. Or something along that line meaning keep calm and expect the common thing.
IKWTD, we are doing OK here. Teeth seem to be under control for both of us, other aches and pains as usual. LOL
I haven't had a regular, PCP, in probably 30 years or more.

I think she's late middle age. She's not wrong in her work. I have yet to see her jump to a conclusion. I just think she's overly excited!

Yes the attending ER doctor asked if I were queasy before the resident popped it back into place. I told him if it were okay with him I would just keep looking at him while it was done. He was really cute. LOL My poor husband just laughed. And I noticed he took my hand. ehehehe
