So back to the OP. I do believe Biden will be knocked out of the running and perhaps that is Pelosi's intent all along. But this "impeachment" investigation is already leading to so much more. Bad move by the dems.

you're being deliberately distracted by all the theater--the real purpose behind this, and it was accomplished less than a month ago, was an alteration of the federal form, required for any " whistleblower " , that the report, complaint, etc. be based on FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE/INFORMATION--in other words, verifiable evidence of wrongdoing--that bar has now (as of mid-August) been removed--and it was done covertly, without any notice or supervision/oversight--whether done illegally or not, it now permits complaints to be lodged based on hearsay, rumor, 2nd/3rd party information, etc.--in other words, gossip is now sufficient evidence to submit a " whistleblower " complaint--this was the intent of the demos/leftists all along, and it is working--imagine, if hearsay/gossip/rumor can be used as the basis of for an inquiry to (possibly) remove the PRESIDENT, is it really much of a leap to imagine the same thing occurring in a judicial confirmation proceeding for example?--what the demos/leftists have done is effectively removed the fundamental standard of the burden of proof for ANY accuser, for ANY allegation, against ANYONE--regardless if true or merely a tactic to attack an opponent of the regime--do you understand what a " kangaroo court " really is? do you know what Lenin/Castro/Pol Pot/Mao did to subvert the " burden of proof " standard and thereby, like the french revolution, convict/execute innocent human beings on hearsay/rumor evidence? In the realm of 60 to 70 MILLION people died in the last century as a direct result of the removal of that standard--and the dems/leftists are now trying to do EXACTLY the same thing--wake up--the dems/leftists are deliberately and with malicious intent (total control being their goal) attempting to eliminate a standard that is a bedrock component of our personal freedoms
