Not much going on here today. Typical weekend duties. DD and I are going to see Dr. Sleep tonight.

I will never look at a mechanical bull in the same way again.

Need to bring DD to do community service. Placing flags on Veteran graves. New dryer being delivered today.

DD and I want to take a cruise. 7 nights, leave from Charleston, SC to bahamas then Bermuda. Since we've had the pleasure of staying in a suite when we went to the Catman islands we want the luxury of another one. Price is about $1,500 each. Yikes. Plus, monies needed for fees and expenses. So I'm guessing 5 grand. Sigh. Will be saving forever.

Morning.

SB, a friend of mine, many years ago, made payments before actually taking the cruise. Is that a thing now? As for that bull, whomever was running that was having a lot more fun than the riders. I think that guy in the front, why two rode at the same time is beyond me, was probably in a lot of pain when it was over.

Hi, IKWTDS, we need to see that dryer!

Trying to get people moving. So much needs to be done, and mom keeps adding jobs and then refusing to do anything to help.

She's going to be stuck with a bunch of unfinished jobs when Caitlyn goes into labor, if she doesn't make up her mind and get moving.

Oh, well.

I am trying to let my hair grow out a bit, but I'm at that "cut it all off" stage.

It's cold.

Happy Saturday.

By all means, set up a GoFundMe account.

Lily, just do what you can, there is a possibility that Caitlyn will have the baby during thanksgiving and that you may be at the hospital on thanksgiving. My advice is that you keep it simple, delegate the food preparation and prepare what you could early like cornbread for the dressin/stuffing.  I know that it seems like Caitlyn May have the baby early but it isn’t unusual for the baby to go past the due dat, which having 3 kids you already know. Be kind to yourself and draft help.  I believe this would be a great way to make your brothers girlfriend to feel like part of the family, she may be happy to help.

Oh my goodness, why haven't I thought of that!!

Lily, they do let you make payments. I want to put a good chunk down once we set a specific date. I may get DD to settle on a cabin with a balcony. I most definitely won't settle for an interior or porthole cabin.

I agree with Lindley, baby Jewel may be a Thanksgiving baby. A lot of the sides can be premade or store bought and frozen.

I have paid for my winter trip fully at this point. I did it in a couple of installments. Now all I need to worry about are incidentals, and I will really be in a situation where incidentals will be pretty minimal - it's a somewhat secluded experience.

Oh, I know she could very likely go passed her due date.

However, if not, I want things done.

I'm not worried about the food.

I'm pissed that my mother decided the carpets needed shampooing only after I got everything down from the attic.

All my plans have been pushed back a week.

And now, the steam cleaner, which mom bought 3 years ago and has never used, isn't working.

Water every where, was put together wrong, and it wont suck.

There is a gallon of water in the floor.

Cranberry sauce in a can! Just make sure it comes out and onto the plate in the can shape!

I have predicted Jewel will arrive the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

I love to make my own, however, the powers that be prefer the can.

I make my own cranberry sauce for my DI, but the rest of us unfortunately like the jellied sauce in the can.

My best friend and I make a great cran sauce. Lots of allspice and cinnamon with a little kick. My family loves it, hers not so much. So I get most of it! :D

The secret of getting the cranberry
sauce out of the can in one piece is
. . . . . .

open BOTH ends. Remove one lid
and use the other lid to push the
contents out of the can

Homemade cranberry sauce is good if you male it with OJ instead of water.

My can opener cuts around the outside. It basically separates the lid from the can. No sharp edges, either.

But, you can run a case knife around the inside edge, and the sauce comes right out.

Does the male have to be related, or can I get one off the street corner?

😄

I use this principle when I'm
using tomato paste - no more
twisting and turning to get
that last little bit out of the
bottom.

New Englanders.  That is the method we use to get brown bread out of the can.

I never thought of doing it with tomato paste. I've been struggling with this most my life. I started making sauce when I was young like any good Italian girl.
