Afternoon already.  I've done so much today.  I did not plan on Christmas shopping but ran out for something and scored a Vinyl of Cabaret for DD, cost was $22.  B&N wrapped it too. Took the dog for a walk to his buddies house, not too far and as much as I could manage.  The healing soreness is much better today.  Doing laundry and going out to dinner tonight.

Enjoyed church, the Christmas program was sweet. It was the children's church. They had their service on stage. They talked about the meaning of Christmas. It was good to remember what it was like to have a child's view of Christmas.

Making lunch, sloppy joes.

Dad broke his dentures. That's a fun story.

Happy Sunday.

Got suckered on Amazon last night. Was scrolling through to see if a Prime or Audible trial was worth it for travelling next week but accidentally found a book just out by Margaret Atwood as a follow up to The Handmaid's Tale of what takes place years after season 3 ends. My best friend and I were both Tale junkies and went through huge withdrawal when we finished the series, so I got super excited and 1-click ordered it to be sent to her as a Christmas gift.

Kind of a cheat, because i know she'll die over it, but when she's done I get to read it!

After work today, hitting the dollar store for wine glasses and see if I can find some picture frames. Then hopefully making some biscotti and candying some nuts. And pulling out the Christmas decor, moving the table, putting up the mini tree. The dollar store always has a pile of cardboard boxes by the door, so hopefully I can score a couple that will be good for wrapping my parent's Christmas gifts.

T-72 hours until the family descends.

POD unloaded and most of everything put away in the garage. Fudge made and delivered to neighbors. I'm tired.

There are always those last few items.  I was a bit ticked off today. My neighbors have a party every year but usually earlier in the month.  DD told me it is the 23rd.  I had not heard from my friend until I was out tonight asking if we would be there tomorrow.  (Umm you didn't tell me about so I did not assume anything).  Need to go back out and get fruit.

Well, you're supposed to just know things, ya know?!

Went to Superstore for some last minute stuff. Couldn't walk between the registers and the aisle entrances. There were 13 tills open and they were all lined up. Somehow, this really cool curve developed at the first till and all the others ended up on the same curve so everyone knew where they were going even though it just looked like a mash of carts.
