Yep, have to go back to work tomorrow. Actually I need to sign on today and go through emails since I have been off for more than two weeks.
It is cold today with the wind chill. This too shall end.
Having the spare room painted today. I am touching up trim paint in other rooms, places where the trim was dinged. If I like the spare bedroom color I will have the living room and hallway painted same color as well.
Happy Sunday all.

Just getting back from Nemacolin. It rained the last two days, but the boys were able to get in some tubing and snowboarding. Woke up to a fresh heavy dusting of snow. Beautiful. Now, back home. Which means laundry. Eventually the decorations will come down. Next week perhaps.
Geesh in rethinking this, I realize I have no Uncles or Aunts here on Earth. All of mine were much older since they married and had kids later in life due to taking care of their families during the influenza epidemic in the early part of the last century. Crazy how old my family was when they truly started their lives.
FNW how is the rest of your family? Do you have cousins?

He was 85. Died peacefully in his sleep, in his new recliner. My aunt is in bad shape.
I have a ton of cousins. But this was my last uncle. I lost all my other uncles over the years. I have three aunts remaining.
I'm sorry, FNW.
I no longer have any living grandparents. I never realized how richly blessed I was growing up to have so many.
My kids have only my parents left, Jewel has only me and my parents.
I have 3 uncles and a great uncle , and 2 aunts blood related. Their various spouces.
And a lot of cousins.
But it does feel like the family pool is drying.

FNW, sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like he had a long life and died peacefully. Also sounds like your Aunt is going to have a bit of a time adjusting. Guess that goes for all of us who are married for a long time and lost their spouse.
I'm now the matriarch of the family, on both my and DH's sides of the family.
Gosh - how did I get to be so old?
I've been the matriarch for the last ten years in my family and I've asked myself the same question . . . how / when did I get to be old enough for that distinction!?!?
