Stay dry! Enjoy your husband, Lindley!

I attended the PTPO meeting last night. (Catholic school version of PTA). The principal told us the story of when she lost both of her parents in a car accident when she was 9. They left no will or guardianship papers, so the kids were split up and sent to live with relatives that the court psychologist chose. The same relatives her father used to threaten to send her to for a weekend if she was naughty. She was treated like Cinderella by her aunt and ended up living with other relatives before she ended up in boarding school. It was a tragic story, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. She wanted to share her story so that parents consider guardianship or instructions for our children's care in the event of....

DH & I made arrangements years ago but there are so many who haven't.

Dry, but cloudy and chilly.

I'm so ready for some sunshine!

Just doing some laundry, playing with Cate, and cooking some chicken for Shop Cat.

We have leftovers out the ears, so I'm off the hook for cooking dinner tonight.

Yeehaw!wink

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

My mother had cancer when I was 11 or so and she didn't think she would make it so she told us who she wanted if something were to happen to our father. So this was something that I have always thought about. And having worked in an estate planning law firm in my previous life, I've seen a thing or two. So we made sure we made plans when the boys were really little.

Afternoon, all.

Glad your husband is back, Lindley, enjoy your time together.

Sad story, FNW.

Hi FWM and Trudy.

LL, the RAIN! We're going to be boats to get around!

Had a CT of my lung this morning. Hopefully will know something by tomorrow afternoon.

17 days till SPRING!

4"was snow blowing at 6 a.m..

I just went out with the shovel to scrape up what I didn't completely get earlier. About to dive into a deep freeze.
Very busy with work. I cannot wait until the end of next week. Things should calm down.

So far, so good, Momala.

She loves the chicken breasts that I cooked for her.smile

Still no signs of distress.

So, we will continue to spoil her!

It's all we can do.

Aww FWM, I'm glad Shop Cat isn't in distress.

When I had my trust drawn up I did include arrangements for DD. Even though her father is alive I didn't want to leave it to chance we we both went around the same time.

Working tomorrow morning for a few hours even though it's my off Friday. I need to finish up a few things in prep for next week which will make for a smoother week.

I interviewed a new house cleaner tonight. She is going to do a deep clean on the house. And then I need to decide if I want her to come back and how frequently. I think she will work out and will do a much better job then my current house cleaner. She does a lousy job, a surface cleaner and her dusting "skills" are almost none existent, but haven't had the heart to get rid of her. I can trust her to come and go if I am not here plus I've known her for years and was very sick a few years ago so I feel badly getting rid of her. But, I need to stop wasting money.

I had the same maid service for over 10 years and ended up switching a few years ago. I felt bad, too, but I also felt bad I allowed them to use me like that.

Yeah, I will be relieved once I rip the bandaid off.  Hypothetical, would it be bad to lie?

I think I told mine we were going to be having some work done and needed to suspend service.   I did that before when we had renovations done so it made sense.  And we were having work done...cleaning.

Dollar Tree has great travel mugs. So does Walmart.

I had directives in place when the kids were little.

Caitlyn is going to set up something, too.

It only makes sense.
