Good morning, Good Geeks!

Getting ready to run to Kroger.

I'm making homemade pizza and banana pudding for dessert, for dinner.

Not much else is going on around here.

I hope everyone has a nice day!smile

Tomorrow I'll judge the 7th grade Science Fair. Today, it's raining and I changed my mind about going to the grocery store.

Dog is not feeling well. Puked and then searched for grass outside to eat. Of course its all covered in snow.

Work is starting to calm down which means I am doing only 10 hour days. Lol.

I am thinking about hitting up some open houses this weekend to get a flavor for the market. DS will want to buy a house.

Siri says that it's supposed to be rain-snowing, but there is nothing going on out there. And ugh. I have to do something food related. I"ve put on a ton and am making horrid choices.

Hey y'all.

Homemade pizza sounds yummy, FWM.

IKWTDS, hope your son finds a home he loves quickly.

FNW, judging a science fair sounds fun.

Hiya Trudy and Tig.

We had sunshine earlier, but now it's cloudy again.

Happy Tuesday.

Just found out that my website front end has been down for at least 3, maybe 4, days. I thought my email was really quiet. Dammit. Fixed, but now have to wait for the connection to be reset. Could be another day for the website, but email is back.

Hi all! Sorry for being absent so much. Work has been mentally and physically draining. Loving the extra$$ but damn.... I will try harder to check in more.

As I said in my first post on this thread, dog was not feeling well. You know what energized him? A mouse. He was scratching near the dishwasher so I figure he smelled one. Then he went to the stove and was so insistent that I pulled the drawer completely out, no mouse, but I cleaned under the stove which was nice. I then sat back down to continue working and a mouse ran in behind a piece of furniture then out again. I started screaming, dog came and caught it, killed it. He has been so happy since.

Z-dog watches a mouse run by like 'hey! Check that out!' and then goes back to sleep.

The one time, we had a mouse in the house...we also had six cats!

And, Jupiter.

Guess who killed the mouse?

(I'll give you a hint...it wasn't one of the six cats!) ROFLMAO!wink

I still laugh about that one.

Kind of.

We put out the live traps, for the mouse, hoping we could catch it, and let it go.

It didn't go for it. Poor thing. Jupie, did it in.cry

I'll never catch and release a rat or mouse. They die, here.

Those things reproduce way too fast for that nonsense.

I have always had luck with the sticky traps. And no, I'm not concerned with being humane when it comes to rodents.

Sorry Lily.

I would never have the heart to kill a live creature with a brick.

I can swat a fly. But, I can't hurt little furry things. Not even a mouse.wink

Lucky for us, we don't have many mice in our neighborhood.

Only one mouse has ever gotten in, in almost 24 years.

Thank goodness!biggrin

 Mice are everywhere.

You have cats, neighbors have cats, animals, that keeps the mice population down.

But to say a whole neighborhood doesn't have mice is just laughable.

I understand not everyone can bring themselves to kill a critter, but if no one ever killed them, they'd take over.

Don't put words in my mouth, Lily.

I said, we don't have many. And, we don't.

I never said there were none.

We've had one. In 24 years.

 My bad. I misread.

But, still, kill rats.

No worries!

Now, we have seen the odd rat, running on top of the fence.

Huey had even caught a couple of them, and left them on the patio, as a gift. GACK!biggrin

The bigger problem in DFW, is roof rats. They get into the attic, and cause lots of damage.

Fingers crossed, they have not come to my house. (Thank you, Lord!)smile

But my neighbors spent $13,000, to get rid of them, and repair all the damage they did.cry

Yes, roof rats.

They chew up the wiring. They pee and poop in the insulation, in the attic.

They are, the devil. If you are unlucky enough, to have them.

It costs a ton of money, to keep them out, and repair the damage.cry

(Replace all the wiring, take out all the insulation, and replace it. What an expensive nightmare.)cry
