But living here in mosquito land, I will never have one.

A friend of mine bought a house with a dutch door. It looked awesome. "I said to her we live in NH and we have woods and ponds all around. What will you do about the mosquitos?" House is lovely, soon after they moved in they put a screen porch up outside that dutch door. Works.

There is really nothing I want that I can't buy. It's strange how life and aging does that. I wanted so much years ago. Now, not so much. I can buy a door. I do know I want an extended roof over my garage with lighting and cameras.

A beach front home in either Hawaii or Laguna Beach Ca
I don't want a beach front home. Been there done that. The storms even if not hurricanes are scary and destructive. I would love a water front home on a bay or lake., See? as one gets older one's wants go down.

It isn't about being able to buy something.
It's about practicality.
I can buy a Dutch door, but it wouldn't be practical.
Between the mosquitoes, flies, gnats, and other critters, I will never have one.

There aren't any big storms or hurricanes in Laguna Beach.
Our family has a beachfront home in Ventura. I understand they are selling. I would love to buy it, but it wouldn't make sense because we wouldn't use it much. I'd rather have something back here. But then again, would we use it much? We're 4 hours from the beach. Not exactly a place we could just run off to for a weekend. So I guess that would be it. A beachfront home but it's not practical.

Yeah, my point is as one ages there are fewer non practical material things wanted.
