I have a squared off area surrounded by a rock wall by the garage. It was filled with literally thousands of acorns. I had the offending trees taken down last week so spent an hour today, 1/2 yesterday getting rid of the acorns. Also ripped up the dead perennial stuff from the gardens. the Perennials are already poking through the dirt. 2 hours outside in the gardens, back is sore but feels good.
Happy rest of the week to you all.

We were going to spend the day doing yard work but DD and I both ended up working. It’s rained so much we probably need to let it dry a few more days anyways.
I got a lot done in the garden today, too. I got my lettuce in the ground, could see where the leafy lettuce is germinating, and I built a teepee trellis out of fallen tree branches. I also added another garden bed using the "no dig" method, framed with fallen logs and thicker branches for that "natural" look. And I ordered flower seeds to add some pollinators.
I have a neighbor with the brightest outside light ever.
