My dog can only get food from a specialty store. I was there yesterday and they had a table set up at the door and would go and get what you needed and only 2 people at a time. I asked about their opening and they said that they hoped that they would be considered an 'essential service' until last minute because dogs need food too. I'm preparing to have to make his food at home if I have to. Brown rice, steamed/mushed veg, beef or fish and some stock. I can ration his kibble.
I went and bought Sonny the next bag of food and Cesar which I mix in to his dry food in the evening. I had at least two weeks of food left but was not leaving that to chance. Sonny is fine.

HEB has a very efficient way of
restocking the shelves. Two temps
bringing boxes of goods to a long
time employee, who directs them
where to stand. He then opens
the boxes, and tells the temps
where to put the opened boxes.
Don't take them out of the box -
it takes too much time. Just
put the box where the item is
supposed to be. A team of three
can bring a whole lot of cans to
an aisle and distribute it in less
than ten minutes. And shoppers
are being very good about putting
the empty boxes in one designated
cart for that purpose.
