Just having my coffee, was helping out my daughter in law yesterday, 2nd grandson was sick and wanted mommy to cuddle him all day and since she is nursing the newborn, I went over to give him cuddles and take care of him, his daddy took him to the dr. This morning, tested for strep and came back negative and his ears were clear. Most likely the flu or a virus, not Coronavirus. Thankfully he doesn’t have a fever this morning, so hoping for a easy day.
6+ inches of snow. Not clearing it. Hoping it melts soon. Told DD to shovel out the wall of snow at the end of the driveway. I have a biopsy in a few hours and although my car is AWD it won't make it through the wall.
Temps are going to be on the nice side this week.

One thunderstorm after another has rolled through since about 4 this morning. House shaking thunder. Supposed to clear out tonight and have sun tomorrow.
Trying to find a dentist. Broke a back tooth, the filling is trying to come out. Waiting on a call back.

Dreary and grey here as well. Sun popped out for a few minutes but quickly disappeared. Rained most of the day yesterday. Not supposed to today but more rain moving in for tomorrow. Spring is here! I usually don't say that until the forsythia blooms but temps are saying otherwise. Mid 50s for today.
I have to work this afternoon and really do not want to. But, we're considered essential since we're selling groceries. I wonder if they got any TP or wipes in yet? We're pretty well stocked now with other things.
Our forsythia was in bloom last week down here. Pear trees, too. Cherry blossoms are out now. And the fall weeds in the north 40 I didn't get to started to bolt so I pulled them Sunday.
The defense industry is going strong for many reasons. I consider myself lucky to have fallen into the industry for my career. I have weathered many recessions, job retractions. I know things for everyone will get better and soon. I feel badly for those suffering.

We have a federal stimulus pkg coming too, as of April 1. For small business owners (me) we can apply for support if we have to lay ourselves off. How many minimum hours is 'laid off' for an independent contractor. Is that 0 work hours or is it 10 per week, I'm not sure how to lay myself off.

Funny story. I just got a cease and desist order on the office. Closed to human beings until further notice.
The office owner is having some sort of freak out about us being in a 100% shelter-in-place order with risk of people being arrested if they aren't in their homes....
Um, no. Not sure what she is reading, but it sure isn't any government or CDC information. I went to school with the infectious disease controller at the provincial CDC. She said to tell the woman to take a deep breath. This woman is all "I need to come and get files but now I can't come for 4 days because you've been there and that's how long it takes for the virus to die!!"
Good gracious, how do I meet these people?? Upside, saves me rent.
