Back to heat, here. Woke up to 49 chilly degrees. Heading for a high of 73. At least the sun is shinning.wink

Snowing, not sticking though.

Happy Birthday JoJo and no I cannot believe she is 10 hmm

Need to attempt the grocery store today.  Tried twice yesterday but the line was wrapped around the corner of the building.  Of course, that store is on the border.  Going to try a different one that is further north.

Good morning! Happy Birthday JoJo!🎂🎈🥳 they do grow so fast, haven’t encountered any lines, went to one store yesterday it was crowded and no meat, went to another one, plenty of beef, found toilet paper, Lysol cleaner and hand sanitizer. I hope you have better luck with a different market ikwtd. Hello fwm and fnw.

Today we will be celebrating my 2nd grandsons 2nd birthday, he wanted roasted hotdogs for his birthday dinner and to roast marshmallows. It’s beautiful here today.

Do you have an asian market near you IKWTDS? I've found one on the border of my area and they are fully stocked with everything and mostly empty. They look at me funny, but there are no lineups to get in, none at the till. I have found that there is a powerful smell to it (fish?) but I just breathe through my mouth. Everything is getting washed anyways.

It's also where I found the $50 travel mug.

Went to the store further north. They are not limiting #of people in the store so no line to get in, but even at that the store was not crowded and they were well stocked. Even scored disinfectant bathroom cleaner. . From now on I will drive the few extra miles to go there.

I'm looking for laundry sanitizer and can't find it anywhere. I wash all the kids blankets and bedding in it weekly and have been doing so for the longest time. Seems everyone is sold out of it now.

I use the steam cycle on my washer and that will kill anything I think.

Hot dogs are a hit or miss at the market. We will buy either Hebrew National or Nathan's but I am boycotting Nathan's now that I know China owns them.

Afternoon.

Holding a sleeping baby Jewel at the moment. Well sort of sleeping.

Most our stores are well stocked. The butcher, a local butcher, hasn't had any shortages of meat.

I'm noticing a lot of canned food thinning on shelves, and ramen. I guess a lot of people are living on ramen and ravioli. 😆

We're going to a new store that just opened this week in a little bit. Want to look around, see if there is anything I can't live without.

Happy birthday to JoJo! 10. That an important one. Double digits.

I went and got my hair cut for the first time since February. It feels so good. I'm resting now. I have incredibly NO pain. Haven't even taken one of the painkillers he prescribed. OTOH, the steroid is making me want to eat everything in sight. And I have to be on it two weeks. UGH. I don't really go to the grocery store. My kids do the shopping for me.

Happy Birthday, Jojo! Hard to believe she is 10!
It’s a cold, rainy day here. Have three youngest grands this afternoon. Noisy bunch today, lol.
Good to see you all are still here! Life remains busy here despite what the media says.
Garden is planted, radishes and potatoes are up, tomatoes need covering this week since it’s been so cold at night. Next week will be warmer.
No problems with food supply here. Our local butcher’s are enjoying thriving business right now. People are having meat shipped from here too their homes. Lots of dry ice being used for shipping. Farmers and ranchers are getting very creative marketing their own products and trying to save their way of life. I’m glad to see the investigation into the four meat packing monopoly’s. Farms have taken huge hits this last year with market manipulation.
Anyway, glad we have a freezer and it’s well stocked with locally grown meat. Our son in Omaha says the meat shortage is awful there. We will restock his freezer next weekend.

We went to Hobby Lobby, they are doing a lot of sales trying to get rid of stuff they would have already sold. Christmas stuff is beginning to show up, too! I bought a dragon. 🙂🐲

So, Jojo loved her birthday. Because she couldn't have a party, I took what I would have spent on the party and bought her gymnastics equipment. Then, we invited one friend over to spend the weekend. She got McDonald's for dinner (we HATE McDonald's and never let her have it), and then picked up an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. I also took her to Home Depot and she got to pick out a bunch of flowers and come home and plant them.
