Good morning, Good Geeks!

The rain has ended. We got almost 3 inches yesterday. Sunny, and 85 today. That should dry things up a bit.

The kids will probably come down for dinner later.

Not much else is going on.

How about with you?

I hope everyone has a good day.smile

Cloudy here and much cooler than the last couple days. I got my tomatoes in the ground yesterday so I hope it doesn't get too cool. I started cucumbers inside and they are doing well, but the ones I direct sowed are not coming up. Weird.

Making crackers for the boys' breakfast and will put another loaf of sourdough bread in the oven in a couple hours. Later I'll start my sauerkraut.

Good morning! A cloudy, breezy, cooler day here . Rain is moving in for the middle of the week. It's still nice to be able to have the windows and doors open to air out winter from the house.

Not much on the agenda for me. Just tired from working all week and dealing with stupid co-workers and management. Gonna catch up on the news on TV while sippin my cuppa and have a muffin. Then, maybe, I'll dig in to cleaning out some closets. Then again, I've started binge watching The Handmaid's Tale. I'm about to start Season 3. It could be an all-day affair. ;)

Have a great day!

Good morning!!Overcast today. We might get a tiny bit of that tropical stuff over the next few days.
I just went to Walmart and scored some disinfectant spay. I feel like I won a prize! Also scored some TP. They had a decent amount. I was tempted to buy a jumbo pack but I left it for someone who might need it worse than myself. About 20 hours left of my call weekend.

Morning! Up and ready for church. We'll be leaving in a little bit.

It's a beautiful, southern Sunday. Sun, a light, but steady grease, and heading to the upper 80s.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

I wish people wouldn’t tie their masks in a way that they can’t even speak properly. Just stop. Please. Don’t.

I guess since I’m in a mask and around others in masks most of the time at work all the incorrect things people do drive me nuts.

I wish I could learn how to wear it properly. Mine keeps settling up into my eyes. Not only can't I see, the material goes into my eyes which can cause infection.

We're going out to my daughters to celebrate mothers day and my son's birthday. My daughter has been quite a pain lately. I wish she'd stop. She has an opinion on everything and never fails to tell me. She doesn't approve of my life right now and openly lets me know.

We transplanted the corn, watermelon and sunflowers into the ground this morning. Also put up netting around the posts DS transplanted the starter plants into. Everything is looking awesome but will be a struggle to keep the animals away from the corn.

I still need to shower. We are doing an early dinner with burgers on the grill and sweet potato skins.

A friend wanted me to go on a car show ride with other classic cars. I begged out of it last night. I just felt like puttering today.

"Church" on Zoom was half an
hour late, because the host wasn't
able to log in!

It was fun, hearing all the "lag"
time in our responses.

Great service, I feel refreshed in my spirit.

As for the masks, I can't tell you how many I've seen wearing them under their nose. Or they pull them under their chin to talk or eat, then pull them back up.

I left a message on my Governor's Facebook saying they should do an educational video on how to wear masks and gloves, and start issuing fines to those caught throwing either on the ground. I'm sure he was waiting on pins and needles for my suggestion.🤣

Still office hunting. People who say "yes, this is appropriate for a therapy office" are obviously not therapists. Good gracious the things I've seen. If it has a non-coverable floor to ceiling window and is less than 100 sq ft and you have to walk through a pile of disrepaired office cubicles it is not appropriate. If the 'furnished' part = a desk and chair with nothing else, it's not appropriate. If you have to walk through some guy's kitchen, it's not appropriate.

Although, if it wasn't for the kitchen that would have been a perfect space. Too bad about the configuration. I'm also not paying that much money for an office I share with someone else 'sometimes' who would have to move a whole massage table in there. Would be good to put that in the ad. The first one I looked at that was at the border of sketchville was technically the most appropropriate space I've seen so far. And it's at the border of sketchville. Aaaaarghhhh! One more today, but I think the guy is looking for an associate, not to rent space. So that will be a fail.

And if you're posting $125/day for shared office don't flip the switch and say "ooooh, that's for half a day. The full day is $225". Liars.

When I had my eye surgery we were required to wear masks in the waiting room. The two women waiting across from me were both wearing their masks. I sat there and watched as one of them pulled out a baggie with hard boiled eggs, took off her mask, and started eating them. Way to go for proper mask wearing!

Good afternoon! Glad you scored cleaner and disinfect cleaner sb, glad you enjoyed Church lily, we went today and was so good seeing everyone today, your meal plan sounds yummy ikwtd, good luck on your search for a office tig, njn, my daughter sometimes lectures me, I hope you are healing well, hello fs, fnw, fwm, and momala.

I feel sheepish, I hardly ever where my mask, I did during church service only because of two members who are elderly. They give me headaches and fogs up my glasses. Truthfully hardly anyone here wears them. I do stay away from people, make sure my hands are clean and sanitized , masks just effects my claustrophobic issues. I will if there are a lot of elderly people, but mostly I keep away from people

The masks do no good. They are just feel good for the crowd that doesn't think our freedoms should exist. I am all for wearing masks when a private business requires them. That is their right.

I honestly don't wear a mask unless I've gone to the doctor and they forced me to wear one. Then I keep it on when I go to the store. I don't go out much at all so it's not a big deal to me. If I leave the house twice a week I've had a good week. Sometimes I don't leave the house for two weeks at a time. I figure I'm pretty safe. When I go to the store without a mask I try to stay away from people and not touch everything. Then I wash my hands the second I get home.

This.  But then, I don't go places where they are required.  I can go to those places later.

We wear them at Costco. They require them now. Since May 4th, I think.

And, we wear the at Kroger. Mostly because the employees have to wear them.

So, to show them some understanding and respect, we wear them, too.

We really haven't gone anywhere else, either. Run out to get necessary items, and back home, as quick as possible.

Wayne and Conor don't wear them at work. I think they are all just careful to keep their distance.

So far, so good. Thank the Lord, we are all doing fine.smile

I've been going to the store every two weeks. DH goes frequently, and picks up lunch most days. I might get my car washed every couple weeks. Sometimes I just drive around to get my car running and keep the battery charged.

Our car washes are closed. WTF is that all about? Not as though you ever interact with another person. They are all automated to include payment.

My car wash is open but no vacuums. I pay monthly so it’s irritating that I can use that part.

I wear a mask in public because my employer is “encouraging “ us to wear them. I’m almost over it. Why am I walking around Publix with a mask when 75% of the other people aren’t?

I feel for you, SB.

Here, it seems to be going the other way. Probably 90% of the shoppers in Kroger, were wearing masks yesterday.

Of course, since re-opening, the numbers have been rising in Texas. I think folks are being more cautious because of that.

My daughter has been on the inside of hearing about the cases we've had first hand. Did you know that in Texas there was such a shortage of tests that when you called the hotline they just asked you a bunch of questions and if you weren't on your death bed they made you just self quarantine for two weeks? They didn't even send you to get tested. Only the worst of the worst cases got tested. She says a huge new shipment of tests have hit the testing centers just about the time everything is reopening. The CDC is trying to blame the increased cases on the reopening but in truth we have more tests available now than ever before so naturally there will be more positive cases. Another instance of the media warping the truth.

To be honest, at least our governor has admitted that the cases increase because testing is increasing. He's still a wimp and won't insist on reopening, leave certain counties to their own and "allowing" them to remain shut down, but he does at least understand that cases are reducing despite the numbers.
