I got a bouquet of red roses (we had those in our wedding) and a silver necklace with blue topaz gemstones. Apparently, topaz was the 16th anniversary gift back in Biblical times. I know the modern gift is silver hollow ware but somehow giving my DH a ladle didn't seem gender appropriate so I got him a sterling silver money clip. We are deciding what takeout restaurant to pick up from tonight for dinner. I will call the Bavarian later to confirm our reservations for Saturday.

Looks like another gloomy day here.

GG should come here to shop. Groceries, butcher, and liquor store. Farms stands for really fresh produce.

Good morning!
Rainy here. I'm finally able to meet up with my friends for lunch today. They are "quarantiners" and are just now getting out.

I talked to G's daughter last night. She is a special needs teacher. She is totally freaked out by the latest guidelines they have to follow to return to school.
How do you explain to a 4 year old autistic child that they have to wear masks, but cannot touch them?
How do you explain to a 5 year old DS child that they can no longer hug their friends or teachers an cannot even eat lunch sitting next to their friends?
How do you explain to a 7 year old Asperger's child that already has trouble communicating and often does so by mouthing words, that he is no longer able to communicate that way and has to find another?

I’ve heard that, that is hard enough for kids who aren’t special needs, much less those who do. You can’t dictate every single human actions especially children. How are the going to build immunities?

The restrictions put in place right now to open are dumb. There is almost no way that they are meetable. Recess with a walk around the park in spread out formation? For elementary school? No. I've put off my opening for a month because the restricitions are too heavy. I can't imagine if I worked with kids!

So, I got this big pretty office that is just sliiiiiightly out of my price range and then a bunch of clients are feeling like (1) they're functioning well enough to not need to see me as often or (2) have used up their benefits and don't have the income to continue privately. Down about 6 clients from my average. That's kind of a big gap right now. Hopefully once these restrictions are lifted people will be more into coming to sessions again.

People are finding they are less dependent upon some of the services they have been receiving. Personally, I won't be going to the hairdresser as often once they reopen. I will do my own coloring most months.

Not that hairdressers are the same thing, but I'm using this as an example. People are learning new skills. Not everyone, but a lot are.

Morning! (Yeah, I know🤨)

Congrats, Trudy!

Happy anniversary, nice gifts, FNW.

What color will you be choosing, FWM?

I bet the regulations will quickly relax once reality sets in, O4.

Perhaps some advertising would help, Tig.

How's that granddaughter, Lindley?

Glad you got a good night's sleep, NJN.

No kidding, Momala, my parents always have laundry.

Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Nothing special happening today, but the weather is nice. Partly sunny, comfortable, no humidity.

Happy Thursday.

So we went to a Mexican Restaurant. They had a huge bottle of hand sanitizer on the checkout. We all used it. It was a little watery, but whatever...
And then it hit us. ALL OF US. It was made from Tequila. Without a doubt. We all smelled like we had been doing shots. I drove home slowly...LOL!

That's awesome. Good thinking on their part! Although, is tequila high enough in alcohol to be a sanitizer? Vodka (sadly) isn't.

How funny!

I need to pick up some sanitizer made at the distillery in town. They've been making it for the hospital, and giving it away to anyone who wants it since this started.

One of our breweries did that - caused a major traffic jam through the whole end of the city. Police had to intervene. When they wanted to keep doing it they set up police roadblocks in advance and had limited amounts. Maybe they did a lottery system? Didn't hear anything about them after.

I'm glad I live in this area. There hasn't been any incidents of any kind related to this thing.

The stores were quick to put limits of things, and everything balanced out pretty quick.

Other than one snowflake, I haven't witnessed any other problem.

The one snowflake was trying to purchase more than his limit of something. He left angry, but didn't do anything other than complain loudly.

CT breweries are doing the same thing. My brother has to sanitize his entire furniture chain with it since Lysol and such in non existent. I cannot wait to go furniture shopping. Already picked out the sofa. Just need an ottoman, big chair and entertainment center.

I bought my grandson some baby clothes.  I also bought a new swing for the daycare.  Oh, and diapers.  I bought the grandson some diapers and I also bought one of the babies diapers.  They were having an awesome sale.  The mom hates shopping for deals so I buy them when they're on sale and hike the price up a smidge and sell them to her.  I make a few bucks off them and she gets them cheap too and doesn't have to shop sales.  We just purchased some Pampers for $2 a bag.

So you're screwing over your DIL and making money off her? I'm sorry, but that sounds bad. You should be giving them to her for free. That's what grandmothers do. Not looking for a way to make a buck.

Is she doing that to the grandson's mom, or another mom? Either way, I wouldn't brag about it.

That would be the EX DH and will have to paid back at some point.  Actually a felony to take someone else's  stimulus, married or not.  I am finding this all out dealing with my Father's wife.
