Everyone is gone, work, appointments, stuff. Jesse went to get us some breakfast.
Monster is driving me nuts! He's driving himself nuts!
Pain management is the name of the game for me right now. But it'll pass.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend, happy Tuesday.

It was wonderful! The parking lot was full and we saw a few people strolling around the property, but the tables were very far apart and we didn't feel nervous at all. They had one entrance and a separate exit, and the staff wore masks, poor things. But they seemed very happy to be back to work and we got excellent service.
The food....oh my. It's always good, but it just tasted better this time. Probably because we haven't been out to eat in a restaurant since the lockdown. It's a German restaurant, so I had Schweinebraten (pork roast), DH had Wiener Schnitzel (breaded veal) and #1 had Jaegerschnitzel (veal in a mushroom gravy that was to die for). #2 had steak frites which was a huge ribeye and so tender and delicious. The boys each had dessert which they shared-apple streudel and German chocolate cake. Heaven! It was worth the 1 1/2 drive. Next time the boys want us to get a chalet and spend the night. We'll see.
Sounds yummy, FNW.
Trudy, it's nearly 2, go for a martini lunch, then it'll be 5 before you know it.
Tig, I like the couch.
Hi FWM and IKWTDS.
Oh, FNW, don't respond to the nay sayers. It isn't worth it. Snooze them for a while.
Pain is better. I can't get around in the house without my cane.

Probably. She posted that her youngest is an RN on the COVID unit. Then said, "hope your dinner was nice." Uh, yes it was.
I'm sorry, and I know this sounds callous, but while I appreciate health care workers...I really do, and it didn't take a pandemic for me appreciate them. I always have. But dammit, careers are choices. One knows going into healthcare work they will be exposed to some pretty crappy and contagious things....and I appreciate those who are willing to go to work during times like this...but that is their job.
Sorry, SB, I mean no disrespect to you, or anyone else on the "front lines." But I'm not going to feel guilty about enjoying a much needed evening out just because someone else is at work. I'll bet her saintly daughter is dining in the hospital cafe and not being required to pick up her meals curbside, too.
My daughter is a RN, they have a team taking care of their covid patients. You are right, they work with infectious patients at times. My daughter mentioned having to at times have to wear a gown, mask and gloves with a few patients. I’m sure your friends daughter like mine had meetings about this virus. It really bugs my dd that I go out and her dad is still working.
No disrespect taken. I go out and about myself. I do wear a mask in stores but not in restaurants. I’m careful for myself and others. I don’t care if others don’t wear masks. Their choice. We can’t be afraid to go out in society. Wash your hands, don’t touch your face. Don’t be gross either. Simple basic rules of civilization.
Lindley, why does it bug her that you go out? Is she worried about you, or just in general she wishes people would stay home?
SB, I've noticed you have been going out and I think it's wonderful. A bit jealous, in fact. But we should be starting phase 1 Friday, although restaurants will be limited to outside dining and there aren't many around here who are equipped for that.
Behind our Chick-fil-A is a parking lot that belongs to an empty building, when the lockdown started, the older breakfast crowd that would gather at CFA began using that parking lot. They'd bring their lawn chairs, tables, whatever, and set up in spaces. Every other space, and eat, talk. Like a tailgate with distancing.
That became an evening gathering. All ages.
It's still a thing. It's really cool.
I hope someone took pictures.

My stomach literally rumbled reading that...WOW...

My husband and I are in our early 60’s and of course information about covid was drilled into them, she just wants us to be safe. She has some miner anxiety issues and this pandemic flared it up. I believe having a baby this past year is what made her nervous. She Is ready for more freedom though
These lockdowns can bring up all kinds of emotions. And much sadness. Even I am scared. But not for the virus. For our country's rights that are being denied and the power that the governors seem to have wielded.
I said at the beginning of this, there would be a new normal. I think it's becoming more obvious the changes are not going to go away as quickly as they were began.

Our city has been very supportive of our downtown restaurants. They are allowing them to add additional outside seating in public areas. We also have our beautiful waterfront park where many people are bringing their takeout and sitting at the tables, on benches or spreading blankets to eat. There is also a lot of parking along the river and people are just pulling up and sitting along the riverbank to picnic. It’s really nice seeing people out spending time together outdoors.

Loooooong day with a migraine. I spent some time during nap time cleaning for my company. I'm tired now. I need to clean out my pantry. Anyone want to volunteer to do it for me?

I want to believe, that things are getting better.
Sadly, from what I've seen on the news, things will probably get worse.
Any one, who thinks they can go around, in a pool party...with a bunch of strangers...? Or on a beach?
Good luck, with that.
Call me old fashioned, but, I'm not ready to go there.
Fairly certain the chlorine will kill anything. Although the packed beach? no
Of course there will be second wave when things are reopen, that is just logical. However it will not be as bad as the first. That is how contagious diseases work.

Love how this pandemic brings on the Krazy Karen Konvention. No offense to the real karens. you friend deep down is jealous
Perhaps she suffers from Pandapanic! Did she tell you that you were going to kill someone and ask if you were prepared to kill your children or leave them mother-less?
I hate hate hate the "new normal". I hate being out with a mask on and smiling at an elderly person and realizing they don't see it. I hate saying Have a wonderful day. only to realize they didn't hear it because of the mask. If that makes me one of those annoying people then so be it. I think we underestimate a kind word and a touch of human interaction.

my good friend from Canada told me that she is saying goodbye and to never contact her again because when I die of this, it would be too hard on her, so we are no longer friends...not even kidding

So sad how the media and politcians Use fear tactics to scare their constituents so they can manipulate them.
I had to calm my mother down. Back in March she was terrified and telling me off for going to the store, eating out, etc. She was really in an almost hysterical state. Worked up big time. It wasn't until time went on and more started happening that she realized it was over-hyped to ruin the economy.
The distancing, the staying home, the waiting to be told if something is ok.
