I live in a red state, but things are different. That's just a fact.

The distancing, the staying home, the waiting to be told if something is ok.
You haven’t been to whereI live, no masks or people being to worried about getting to close
I can count of both hands how many masks I've seen here. And we never really social distanced. I heard some places were having one way aisles in grocery stores and the like. NOTHING like that here. I'm not sure about the county pools, but all of the neighborhood pools are opening this weekend. I think the most telling behavior of just HOW MUCH we ARE NOT social distancing or anything like that is that the ice cream truck has been coming around every afternoon since the first of April...with all the kids lined up at the window to get their snacks. Not a mask or glove to be seen and there are anywhere from 10 - 30 kids at a time, shoulder to shoulder...
My county as a whole just never bought into the hype. We carried on as usual...the only reason I'm working from home is because my company's headquarters is in NY so they made a blanket rule that all employees across the US have to work from home. G has been working every day away from home...

What area are you in, Lindley? I won't be offended if you don't want to say. It sounds like a red state.
It’s a red state now, but sometimes blue. I live in Missouri. Our business is essential and even though my husband gave all the employees the option to be laid off and receive unemployment pay, none of them did even the ones I think should have and nobody wears a mask. People in my town people would wear masks at first now hardly anyone does. I can’t speak for st.louis or k.c. But the rural population doesn’t to much. I do know the big city people don’t when they visit one of our lake towns

Thanks, Lindley. I have a friend from MO. She always said such nice things about that state. The kind of place you could leave your door unlocked (she still does, even in Cali) and visit friends and family without calling first. Not sure about St. Louis or KC, however.
I don't mind the one way grocery store aisles but find myself having to either go down every aisle or backtrack to make sure I enter properly. Only to find some rebel going the wrong direction. LOL I can't get mad at them though, I just laugh.
Hmm, I don't do that. The screamers outside the door. yikes. Ok, my deli lady texted me a happy birthday yesterday. Died laughing. I text her stuff to grab for me. It helps I handed her a Christmas gift.
I'm guilty of going the wrong way at times, too, but once I got used to it in my regular grocery store, my shopping is faster.
Plus, if I forget something, I have the excuse of not going back to get it.

Love it!
My produce guy tells me where they hide things...TP by the milk, etc.

Is there one way aisles? apparently that’s ignored here too

We were at the cabin in KY this weekend and they are AAALLLL crazy. No more than one person from a family can shop (no couples, no kids). Everyone has to wear a mask. One way aisles. All aisles must be trekked, no passing. It looked like something from Pink Floyd's The Wall. I noped right out of there! (They wouldn't have let me in anyway, I didn't have a mask...)

yes, they have arrows you're supposed to follow. You're really missing out, Lindley! (Wanna trade places-LOL)
I actually checked the ailes today when I went to the store, they had arrows, but I never paid attention. Didn’t really matter no one paid any attention and totally ignored them. I will have to check target and the bigger grocery stores next time I go to see if I was the only one who also either didn’t noticed or ignored them as well. At least no one gave me a dirty look or yelled at me
